Well mark this game down as another one this fella can’t take a game by the scruff. His runs weren’t dangerous, his kicks were ineffective and last tackle play before BJ lost his head was poor.
For mine he isn’t our 7 going forward and Benji should have that role next week against the rabbits.

Watching him tonight just scratch the head , the team is going nowhere with him there this is a recurring theme . He rates nowhere near the top halves at present just catches and passes .. the club has a decision to make as a more dynamic half needs to be brought on board , the comments at the ground seem to reinforce this opinion also !

Crazy. He is up there with the best defensive halfbacks in the league, only 1 missed tackle tonight against those big running penrith 2nd rowers. He has a solid passing game and an average kicking game. Nothing wrong with Brooks, you just need a better player at 6 because he's not going to win games for you. Honestly, which half out there are we buying to improve that position? As soon as someone finds someone available and willing to play for us lets talk about replacing Brooks, but we don't have any options, I don't see anyone better available and he wasn't the reason we lost tonight.

Meanwhile, Reynolds was brought in to improve defense and had 9 missed tackles tonight and the right edge defense is still a problem. The issue is leilua, not either Reynolds or Benji.

Yeah Brooks was dangerous running all night - almost went over for a try in the first half and stuck his head through all night, forced a drop out, generally kicked well and defended brillinatly as they ran at him a lot. Had the issue of Mbye injured outside him as well and is forming a nice combo with Douehi

I just question his decisions when to run

Perfect example was late in the game when we were down by 7 ....he had the chance to isolate a prop ...but passes

Then two plays later when the run isn't on he gets tackled and dominantly ...all the momentum gone

I asked Geo this in a PM ...and I'll ask the Forum ...has he got a dodgy hamstring ??

Much maligned- hard to be critical of him tonight. I have been critical of him previously but I think his form this year has been good. That game was a standard that in previous years we would of been walloped - I think Brooks held his own and is rising to the challenge without being a standout.

Benji needs to learn to tackle better, Brooks bashing again i see, we see it every week we lose, he is not the best halfback in the comp nor is he the worst.
This combination will remain as they best complement the team until someone get injured or has a real shocker Benji is not playing.
Why don't we compliment the Team playing the number 2 team on the ladder and going close, and being competitive.

He is the best defensive back in the comp, and is probably our fastest player but he is not a Blake Green as far as a organising half, but I am more than happy to see him run out with the 7 on his back

The Warriors owners don't want Blake Green,he won them the game against the broncos today.....

Brooks played against the origin 1/2 back today and a very good footy side,it doesnt help that a couple of key forwards were out as well ie Twal ,Musgrove...

Brooks didn't play that poorly tonight he was just outclassed and the injuries don't help...

This is new..

Just a shame he can’t kick goals like the majority of halfbacks ..
It would add another string to his bow
