I'm sorry to advise those tired of Brooks as the clubs 7 that it's been agreed that he's around for a few more years yet as is Grub. It's not perfect, but that's how it is. So, hang in there.

Happy for him to be around, he’s a good player, but we are missing an organising half.

Is Luke Keary better suited to 7…?

He could easily handle either role. He could do more kicking and organising if the Roosters had ended up with a 5/8, he already does a fair bit.

played golf on the weekend with one of Blake Greens bets mates he is really pixxxd off with warriors i reckon he would be some chance of a year deal or something

I don't blame the warriors for getting rid of Isaac Moses' players as he has way too much influence as a player manager.
This is what he tried to do to WT a couple of years ago, with the so called big 4, Joe Wehbe, Todd Payten Etc:

That happened with Tedesco as well. How do you explain that? Brooks’ fault?

Tedesco had a very good career with us in terms of tries, line breaks and tackle busts but he looks much more dangerous with the Roosters because they have so many attacking threats that have to be defended.

Have you seen DCE in the last 2 weeks, his impact has been reduced to almost nothing without Turbo, Walker and Fainu.

Exactly. Imagine if Brooks had Turbo to pass it to.

He had Tedesco didn’t he, for at least one year if I recall. Didn’t make much difference.

I think we need to stop making excuses for Brooks and instead play him in the position better suited to his skill set which is 5/8.

Yep, he had Moses too. Was all Brooks' fault.

He also won the Tigers player of the year for the last 2 years and was recently re-signed on a long contract. Some people who should know what they are talking about seem to think he is performing his role quite well.

Some people who “should know” have seen us miss the semis every year he’s been here.

That happened with Tedesco as well. How do you explain that? Brooks' fault?

Brooks has been here much longer ... plus it's the halfbacks job to 'own' the team.
Nobody is saying he's completely useless ... the kid just doesn't have enough to produce regularly.

Let's hope for a miracle in him showing something or he'll be like our other 'stars' in reserve grade.

No he won’t ! Seriously you have no idea

The only Problem we have with Brooks is they have slapping the wrong number on his back since he was 16. He is a very good running half with a decent kicking game.

We need a confident organising half next to him. A leader who knows how to manage a game.

Pitty the club tried to mould both Brooks and Moses into something they weren’t. I often wonder had Moses been given the reigns as the confident organising half and Brooks been given the role of second fiddle running 5/8, whether our club would have followed a different trajectory.

No it’s not, it’s a shared role and has been for years now. Does Flanagan own the Roosters team or does Hughes own the Storm team?

Brooks just isn't a number 7, after 130 odd first grade games at half back, he still hasn't stamped himself as the teams leader/organizer. The club has persisted and showed that whoever he is paired with at 5/8 becomes the dominate play maker, tanker, Benji, Robbie, etc and the club is still trying to mentor him. I'm sorry but after 6 years and 130 games, your an experienced player and shouldn't need mentoring, you either have it or you don't.
Slap a number 6 on his back, bring up Madden, and let Brooks run.

We have one in Madden but his progress is blocked by Reynolds. That is the issue, not Brooks.

Number on the back is irrelevant with our halves. Brooks, especially when paired with Benji, plays the 6 role anyway.

We virtually have two 6’s when Marshall and Reynolds play alongside Brooks. That’s our bugbear imo.... we are in great need of a organising half.

Is this still going ? When we win on Friday , all you haters will be silent or doubling down on your outrageous take. I tell you one thing , if Doueihi doesn’t hog the ball when he made the break , brooks runs away to score , because he’s actually good and you guys are morons .
