Brookvale Oval Upgrade

I can't see Mr Budgie Smuggler surviving this election

Back to footy though maybe the money will be spent on removing the appendages stuck to all Manly supporters foreheads

Yea maybe i’m just jealous - living in the country i rarely get to see any games live at the ground.

I love a day at a good country ground as well, nothing beats a day on the hill at McKinnon Oval watching the Aberdeen Tigers go round. Similar standard to Brookvale as well!

Concord upgrade is $46m paid by the state Govt, Canada Bay Council ($13m) and Wests Tigers. No federal govt grants. It will hold 1,000 spectators under cover, no stand and about 5,000 people in total on the Western side of the field. The eastern side will be a hill only.

I'm told the players and public ammenities are going to be fantastic but not set up really for big crowds so no way NRL or Rugby games (excepting Shute shield) will be played there. Due to start Oct 2019 and finished by Mar 2022.

My understanding of Concord Oval is that the additions are basically for a COE for the Tigers and amenities for local RU and Soccer clubs.

There is no intention of it ever being an oval to play NRL games on.

Govt could of saved a lot of money and lets the 10's of thousands of opposition supporters lay heaps of fertilizer on Brookvale

Ground could change its name to Turdvale Oval

Then again if you've ever spoken to a Manly supporter ….....fertilizer hasn't helped Brookvale in the past
