Given the way everyone is burying the roster, im surprised Cleary is escaping criticism. Having been the one who put it together, literally from the ground up.

I look at our roster and if we could added maybe Moylan or even Maloney you would have some hope of a top 8 finish, but we were never in the hunt

I don't get the criticism of Ivan. Taylor did basically everything wrong. Bad tactics, poor culture in the team, terrible most of the time in his media presence. Yes he tried and maybe given another opportunity he will do a better job elsewhere.
Ivan to me has done all he can do. I don't like the way his team selections are looking or some of his recruitment's but I think we need to give him a lot more time prior to judging him.

Some excellent posts in this thread.
I saw fox sports' predicted round 1 team for the tiges and have to admit it looks pretty dire compared to almost every other team.
But a lot of posters are right: Cleary has assembled this squad with an holistic philosophy and I personally think he hasn't put a step wrong since coming to the club. He has rid the club of what could be toxic elements of the club and brought in players who seem to have added to a seachange in the attitude and morale. *
Maybe a reason he hasn't been criticised is because they haven't played an actual nrl game yet!
I'm a big IC (even his initials are cool… Get it?! I. C... 😆) fan and he has only done things to reinforce my belief he is the best thing the WT has done since 05.
Keep the faith through a very tough start to the season. I think these games are needed for the 'gelling' period anyway so it could be a blessing in disguise playing these teams first up....
* I don't think anyone can with 100% certainty say things like this unless they are actually there. We can only suppose.
