OFFICIAL Bryce Gibbs [Discussion]

[madunit]

He scored a try for the Sharks last year

[happy_tiger]

When our defence was on Bryce was the reason

He led our line speed and just got better with age until the problems with his knees became too much

Still reckon if he stays on during the Warriors semi , we win the premiership in 2011

Our defence fell apart the minute he went off

[Demps]

He was a solid player in his prime.

[happy_tiger]

Has he the brains to make a good defensive coach ??

[bp_tiger]

its a shame to see him go was one of my favs when he was with us, but its nice to see the the funny duo him and Liam go out in the same year. I think these two should go on tour and become stand up comics, would be good to see.

[Fraze23]

If he had of come through the ranks at Manly or the Roosters he would have played a handful of origins. I still think it was a huge mistake moving him on. Our defence hasn't been the same since he left.
Thanks for the memories Bryce!

I loved Bryce as much as the next guy

But both he knees were shot and he was never the player at the Sharks he was at the Tigers

Sad to say we actually made the right call on that one

But we got it horribly wrong with the other person we offloaded with him

No more 'Jobs for the Boys'

Good Luck in retirement Gibbo…always a fan

It won't be a Job for the Boys if he gets his full qualifications. He has experience and good technique but he needs to get full coaching quals and be able to communicate his knowledge to the players. Sometimes the hardest part.

[grrrrrrrrrr]

One of the real characters. It's a must for team moral to have guys like him. Also knew how to switch on game day. Real shame he didn't play out his days at the tigers

 At least Bryce acknowledged what the game did for him. unlike what did Rugby League ever do for me Meninga

[supercoach]

Very much under rated player, big motor, plenty of leg speed but most of all great defensive game.

[Geo]

Both Fulton and Gibbs out in the same year…Fate...

He was a great defensive Prop who gave his all for us....wish him all the best for the future

[innsaneink]

Shame he didnt get to become a rare 10 year player

Was often bagged for being ill disciplined which sometimes was justified, others not…he knew when we were on the ropes

[Demps]

Good luck buddy

[happy_tiger]

They certainly broke the mould when they made Bryce

Very underrated player , our line speed hasn't been the same since he left and still maintain if he doesn't get injured v the Warriors we win the premiership in 2010

He was that important to the Tigers defence

Good luck to Bryce and his family , hope the club welcomes him back with open arms and remember his days fondly as a Wests Tigers player

[cunno]

I always admired Bryce coming through the juniors up to first grade, being part of the premiership winning team, digging in and adding grunt to the forwards, a bit of a larikan, a big loss imo when he went to sharks. Last I heard he has taken to coaching juniors in the Shire. All the best to him and his family.

Some on here were doing cartwheels when he left our Club, I was one shattered bloke as I thought at the time we just signed him for 4 years, what this bloke had for this Club was pride, passion, love and Character.
All our 2005 Premiership players are slowly hanging up the boots which gives me great sadness, need a premiership in the next couple of years.

Always said Gibbs>Heinginton.

He was so under rated.

FT I don't think people did cartwheels , but many understood his knees were shot and we wouldn't have got value from him

One of my fav WT's players , and also one of the few we let go at the right time
