No great loss. Fafita on the other hand !!!!

He was a big loss, one of if not the nest defensive prop in the game.
And his metres puts Blairs figures to shame
'10 or '11 was the only player along with Tuiaki to consistently crack 100m

Been enjoying the fish cocktails & prawn cutlets by the looks of things - good luck to him

Haha, he sure doesn't look hungry Ink.

We really miss his line speed in defence that's for sure.

Tuiaki's career ended in 2009 dude.

I want some of what you are on.

but back on point I think Bryce looked like a fat sack of crap - I'd be ashamed of myself if I trundled back onto the park looking like that after having free access to state of the art exercise equipment and personnel and if it was an integral part of my work. He looked absolutely gassed after his first hit-up.

That would be like rocking up to work as a policeman after time away wearing a pair of thongs.

 Nice description of Gibbs there, UD. He did look very chubby last night. I was surprised how long he actually lasted without a break though. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was close to half an hour. Pretty good, since he hasn't played all year and looked out of shape.

I'm by no means a vain guy, and in fact, i'm a bit overweight myself, but seeing a football player that is unfit is a pet hate of mine to some degree - just reeks of laziness.

Sharks did a Tigers, Gibbs has been out all year and so instead of bringing him back through reggies and getting him game fit, they put him straight into the team. See, the take note of what we do, not just take our players!

That is it , and when you think these guys are fulltime professional Athletes that train basically every day , how do you get so overweight during the football season.
Moving up in defence and getting back 50 metres for a hit up from a kick down field would be affecting his fitness with that much weight on you . They get paid to look after themselves.

He played 3 games in State Cup

Certainly not trim, but still went ok.

We have really missed him since we let him go, particularly his cover/marker defence and kick pressure from a front rower. Quite ironic that Blair is finally covering these areas since being pushed forward.

As far as the other player let go to accommodate him goes, hindsight is a real [This word has been automatically removed]. However, at the time I also thought that Fifita, (like many up and coming players before him) was very lazy and would never quite fulfill his potential, with alcohol being a big off field factor. It sure came back to bite us on Friday night.

bad memory

Gee a bit hard on Bryce. He had shoulder surgery & achilles tendon repairs off season that were not great jobs, so it took longer, meaning not a lot of training. So Bryce has done very well to even play this year, so chill a little & applaud his effort.

I think moving Gibbs on was an astute move, not cause he is no good, he was very useful for us for a long time, but his body was starting to fail when we moved him on, and he hasn't played much footy in the last 2 years.
