@jack11buchanan: Very excited to have signed for a further year with the Wests Tigers #makeithappen #onlymovingforwardnow #onlyhardwork

I'm guessing 2nd tier signing?

Thought he was leaving….

Happy to hear he is staying though!
Good work.
Depth +++

I don't think he will get much time in 1st grade…pure depth signing.i think it's a good move.gotta keep building depth at the club.

Bit of a plodder but good depth signing does whats asked of him nothing more, but i remember not so long ago people calling big Ava a plodder and hes come good why cant Jack !

He could be so much more. Got the frame to be a monster. Depth signing, will not likely feature unless in the event of injury.

I thought he showed glimpses of form this year, but for most of the year it was a mixed bag. He could surprise and you need those budget signings in your roster

Reminds me of a bigger Liam Fulton. Very honest in Defense.

However for his size he doesn't seem to hit up with the imppct of even the smaller players in our pack, such as Halatau and Sue.

In the limited opportunities he got this year I thought he was good. Better defensively than others.

Buchanan…...Yeah Baby......Tops....through a lifeline....we can only hope he is the epitome of the adage that Props mature with age...

He lacks leg speed. Plodder in every sense

Big Jack is honest and has a go. Very happy for the young man. He's a pretty big unit and could be very damaging if Taylor could get him to play with more aggression.

Buch has got a motor that fires on all cylinders but the problem is that it is only a 2 cylinder engine…..he has a dig and am satisfied as a depth/coverage signing.

Funny thing about Buchanan is that he made the NSW Under 21 side not that long ago- somebody had a wrap on him. I met him in the hotel the team stayed at in Brisbane- nice guy. Comes across much smarter than I thought he would.

I agree he's a depth signing at this point, but this is a guy that has been in & around the 1st grade squad for 3 years now. He's doing something right..

Happy for him to be re-signed on a small nsw cup contract. Has about 50 games NRL experience, still pretty young, and just an honest toiler.

Dallas Graham only played a few games before being out for the season so he needs some time to adapt to playing against men. You don't just throw a young prop straight in the nrl from nyc. Grant could use more time too, but played half a season nsw cup at least. In a years time the likes of Graham, Grant, and potentially Felise and Tatola could be about ready to make the step up.

Buchanan's re-signing simply lessens the burden on the young props to step up too quickly. If needs be he could be used early in the season off the bench in nrl as a backup, backup prop.

And hey, if he develops into a consistent nrl level prop then re-sign him again!

i think we pretty much had to resign him after losing galloway, lodge, brown and not signing anyone.

i would hope that dallas graham and jordan grant are ahead of him in the pecking order.
