In the end who cares if the Dragons won or lost the game today (even though the old CHOKERS tag has raised it's ugly head in my eyes!). It doesn't change the fact we still have to convert our 25 minutes of brilliance against the Eagles into the full 80 against the red v.

Results like today are very rare and will make no difference in how we have to play… respect the ball,tackle like there's no tomorrow and worry about our own game.

Add a bit of Tigers RAZZLE DAZZLE and the Big Red V could be well and truly be F'd!

anyhow yeah I am looking for positives, It sucks that we drop to 8th place though after a win!! we can beat the dragons as long as we play up the middle and not go sideways.

Well in the second half Souths showed how you should play Saints - in the first they also showed how not to defend against Saints - so hopefully thet have done us some favours.

What we have seen in recent weeks has been a good performance by the tigers last two in particular where we have kept the opposing teams scoreless in the second half but I think if we are going to have another come from behind match next week we would need to start scoring points early against dragons so we are not playing too much catch up footy!! Fingers crossed benji brings his kicking boots!!!

Whilst it is good when results do WTs favours I'm sure our players will be concentrating more on how they can control their own semis destiny.
This week will be a very tough game for WTs to win, they will have to be on their game as Bennett will have Saints on theirs. Saints will be set to make up for two losses so psychologically they will come out very determined. WTs have to match this with tough defence (bring on Ellis with another pillow crusher) to set the tone then control the ball by finishing sets and playing in Saints half. The strong foundation should limit their scoring opportunities denting their confidence in their game plan and create opportunities for WTs.
Saints have been vulnerable up the middle which Bennett will work on this week so it will be interesting to see whether Sheens' game plan adopts an up the middle approach just to test whether saints have patched this weakness of whether WTs try something else :bulb:

I think if we just played controlled and wait for opportunities to present it self we are in good stead.

Previously we have been guilty of trying to push every set into something instead of just controlling the game.

I don't think we can be robots like st George however I believe the tigers have found the right mix lately

Dragons are low on confidence after that loss. You could see it when the game had ended, the players were in shock.

We can beat 'em. We just have to feign injury every time they grab an arm, twist a leg, or flop every time they hold on too long.

I'm not getting too carried away. Win, lose or draw last weekend, Saints are still a tough team to beat. We need to be on our A game. Complete our sets and tackle well. It has the potential to be a great game.

That being said, I've been rubbing it in to my Saints following brother and family since their Raiders loss. He's yet to respond to yesterday's sms messages. lol

Mitchell Pearce would never be NSW Orgin half in any other era. 5 best halfbacks are from QLD! 😱pen_mouth:

Aim up in defence and get up in their faces when they receive the ball to cut down their decsion making time with the ball. Soward will be pulling out every kick in the book after his past 2 outings. Should be a great test for us.
