Always been a Bunty fan. Part of it is the hair but he’s also a pro - comes on, does his thing, comes off. Defends well, runs hard. Good signing if he stays healthy.

Thats my point, Tigers considered him surplus. Debut in 2013, No games in 2014, he was behind Galloway and Woods as starting props, Blair at lock and behind that Bash bench of Ava/Gavet/Sue/Marty. He got salty and wanted to play and went to Souths in 2015 to get game time.

Tigers should have done more to get him to stay. The track record of Groat/Fifita debacle at this club is telling. If he stayed in 2015 he would have gotten similar if not more game time as Sue/Ava/Lodge etc Who knows what 2016+ would have brought him in Tigers colours going forward as the front row was Woods with Ava/Grant/Sue sharing the other prop position.

I’ve mentioned Topa Sipley previously. I’m actually happier with the acquisition of Bunty.

Great buy from Richo. I had someone tell me a while back they were looking at warriors middle - to be fair I thought they were younger but all good. Still a good age.

Glad to see WTs are recruiting experienced props. If all goes well with our starting props..It doesn’t bother me how many NRL games Bunty (Brown also,if they swop comes off) play for the WTs in 2026. We need experienced backup in the middles if injuries strike, can’t throw kids into that position IMO.
We were very fortunate with middle injuries and suspensions in the 2025.
Terrell May played very game of 2025 his stats were off the charts if he missed part of the 2025 season, we would have been in real trouble. I’m glad the WTs are getting depth props. It would be great if Richo lands a starting prop to complement Terrell for the first 25 mins of the games.

Great to welcome Bunty. Definitely adds to our squad.
Now we need to do the Brown for Bird trade and that will help our go forward even more.

Our bench will actually be pretty decent and won't lose much when they come on.

Improved bench, no Galvin distractions, gotta be optimistic about next season.

As for the 1-17 I want to see more from Pole otherwise bench him.

Bunty is also of Samoan ancestry so the Luai connection may have also played a role.

Competition is good. The gap between our top 17 and the rest has been too big. Too many are too comfortable. Bunty also tackles at 95% apparently which is better than nearly all of our props

Ideally Terell doesn't play more than 65 a week. Keep him fresh, play higher intensity while he's on.
