OFFICIAL Bunty Afoa - Welcome to the JUNGLE!

See, I can't see him being a 'bash brother'. I've just never seen him as that type of footballer. I think Pole is far more likely to play effectively like this.
We need quality back-ups. Competition for run on side positions. Work that little bit harder. the 1%'ers
None will play all season, every game at top fitness. Niggles, injury etc.
We have seen the drop off in performance when injury strikes. How this has let us down in the past.
We are stronger now in the 17 - 25 player group which should create more wins over the season.

Agree with all of this. That is why I was pleased he was signed to start with. If he is truly on a development contract it only makes him that much more valuable. And as I said I'm buying into all the preseason hype around him being not just depth but a highly valued member of the pack.
I just see him as a quality worker and not the guy who is going to make a difference with his physicality. Which seems to be the role the rest of the forum sees. I'm just not sure what they are seeing to suggest this? Maybe he has been to long out of first grade and I've forgotten something about him.

They call him back fence Bunty, a cult hero at the Wahs. Maybe that’s why. I think he’s more a work horse type like you do. Either way the depth is very welcomed like you say.

The younger Bunty was definitely a high impact runner and crowd favourite due to this tearaway style

Dudes 29, and sits around 150 NRL games. He should just be coming into his absolute monster/peak period as a front rower. All comes down to desire/fitness. First few rounds will tell us where his heart is and if he will play more than 10 games at the club before being quietly shipped off to Wigan mid season.

My hope is he finds the form from his early 20s and becomes a team favourite that leads us to the finials.

If they change the rules to a 6 man bench, it'll be very interesting. It will change matches into a game of chess strategically. And this will provide opportunity for Afoa.

I think he'll play a role. He's a damaging runner and strengthens a position we need. I hope he goes well.

For some reason I remember him playing for or having something to do with the Titian's in the past but someone told me he never did maybe I am thinking of Konrad
I dont remember him being much of a stand out player that I took notice of in other games, but i definitely remember him tearing the Tigers up in 17, 18, 19 when he was a kid 21-23ish. Big, strong and braindead running full steam into the line. The bloke is a bench specialist, played 75% of his NRL games off the bench. He has signed for reggies but at 150 NRL games he should be a sure thing for number 16 each week if he has his mind in the right place.

If they are fit, the Tigers rotation will have a hell of a sting if you can get quality not quantity off May this year, rotating May and Pole for Royce/Bunty even throw in Red Mist Seyfarth off the bench for some braindead selfless non-preservation 10-15mins either side of half time. Delicious.

Nice Winston but leave sinbin Seyfarth in Reggie's mate and go with Sione or Roberts

Either way nice dilemma for Benji to solve with a bit of depth.

Sione is 13, Twal is playing for the Beirut Bananas.

Leaves "3 years to go on his contract" Seyfarth to offer 15 mins of blood lust. Play a style like Terry Lamb in the 88 GF. Im ok with that. Gives away a couple of penalties in the process so be it. As long as the balance sheet is in the positive after his stint. I want the Tigers to be feared this year, not the team of big pussy..........cats they are known as.

For the first time in probably a decade it looks like we are going to get it finally mate whoever Benji goes with.

With both Royce who looks the fittest I've ever seen and Bunty a very strong dude in the side we look to have some intimidation at last, really looking forward to it.
