My hope for the middles is to have a pack who relentlessly come at you. We haven’t got a Webke and Petro, but we have a wave of decently sized blokes continually asking questions.
Pole and Sione look really difficult to handle near the line. When they run hard and use footwork, they trouble defences.
This will surely free up the likes of Luai and Bula to create opportunities. We know we have the talent to finish movements, just need to create more.

The word I want to hear overused this year to describe our pigs is RELENTLESS.

I'll single out Hunt and Bunty , I expect a massive start to the season from both but reckon as the weeks tick along into the second half of the season there body's will start to gas and there impact will be less and less. I happy to be proven wrong of course 🐯☝️

It could happen so this is where we will find out if Benji is starting to mature as a coach, notice that there's a drop in intensity from fatigue/niggles and apply smart roster rotation.

We are all hoping that the trials will prove that we have some depth so use it shrewdly.

I've expressed serious doubts about the pack but if they can be relentless (no reason they can't be, we just simply haven't seen it) then we should be challenging for the 8 along with a plethora of others.

Really good news re Bunty attitude and digging in at training.

I’m more concerned about Luai praising Bunty as the MVP at boot camp & standout at training. Talking about a guy who couldn’t get a NRL contract, at backend of his career and has never been known for his endurance.

If he is showing up the rest of our forwards we have an issue & it’s a reality check on where our forward pack is at.

stack the bench accordingly,play the form players and drop the ones struggling even if it's after a win . Make them work hard to hold there position for 26 + rounds

They need to work together and cheat like the Bulldogs. They are average but they got super fit, worked together and got offside every play with crazy line speed.

Yeah I agree Tuck. The pack working together like the grubby Bulldogs pack did is key. Really need Pole and Sione as a double punch through the middle. Imagine Sione starting it with his footwork and strength punching through to land on his front, quick play the ball and then Pole steams onto it, late footwork, lands on his front for an even quicker play the ball....then hit our shape (hope we have shape) on the edge. Simple game Rugby League. Have shape and work on playing that shape off the back of momentum through the middle.

True but I’m looking to Bunty and Hunt to provide some overdue “ mongrel” in our play. May, Pole, Twal and Seyfarth all ok but somewhat pedestrian. Have to n wait and see .
PS being MVP at boot camp/training is great but doesn’t count for much until season starts. It inevitably means the guy wants to make an impression with his new teammates.
