So he has chosen to ignore one of the biggest growth areas in the competition, good call......not

What's this fascination with making good teams better and bad teams worse?

The essence of Rugby League has been equality, toughness and tribalism.

Every other system breaks that. We can create anothe essence which will take another 100 years.

What, oh what, will the NRL do when the inevitable happens and Souths have some bad years?

That they are referred to as an example or a well-run club is amazing. I mean, they are NOW, but not long ago they were out of the comp, illegitimately were allowed back in and were truly awful for their first decade back in the league.

I wish this wanker's liver would just give out...

Deadset if you watch NRL360, he has to wear a sports jacket because he has the alcoholic sweats and looks like he has showered with this shirt on and he shakes like a dog crapping razor blades.

I would never read any of his articles or subscribe to his paper.

I couldnt care less about his opinions. I am without care.

Next.....

This is why you shouldn't drink to excess kids.

I still think he's matured from the beers and wines to vanilla essence....next level stuff

Seriously, promotion and relegation wont work - it barely works in the EPL

A similar reason to the expansion - there is not enough livestock to populate the existing teams evenly let alone another 2, 4 or whatever

The only possible way it works is for an NFL style draft system and free agency so the recently elevated team gets the best new talent...... but is one year enough for a talented rookie to stop the promotion relegation cycle...no

If we must expand the conference system is the way to go

It’s a good idea in theory, but the depth isn’t there to sustain it, like there is in the EPL.

The EPL is a joke as well, only 3 or 4 clubs have a realistic chance of winning the comp every year, year after year. The NRL is following in that example enough as it is.

The big problem is then you look at what happens in the EPL ..players sign contracts that dissolve if the team gets relegated

And do you know how much money you need to get going from NSW Cup to the NRL

In the EPL the play off for the last spot is called the richest game played ....when your talking soccer and those comments ....crazy money

Lol this is a beat up guys . It’s to deflect from the fact the sharks have just lost again , axed thier loyal club coach , and are about to cave in for the year . Don’t buy into this stuff
