I don't know what bizzaro world we are living right now but I have to admit that Buzz Rothfield has gone into bat for our club lately. Not a partisan way, or one with an obvious hatchet agenda behind it, but a factual, non hysterical way. What the hell. He must be very close to retirement.

I used to defend James Graham, he's a decent interviewer in long form interviews with old legends, but he has the brain of a goldfish. He seems pretty desperate for a beat up to grow his podcast. I felt like Buzz did us a few favors in this latest interview, and there's no love lost between him and Richo over the years.

Agree. Graham does great long form interviews but his general comments on the game are bizarre. Just wants to be the "hard hitting" guy.

Graham is genuinely intelligent and insightful - at least by the standard of footballers - but his repeated concussions through his playing career are impairing his cognitive functioning and it's only going to get worse for him.

I generally liked Jimmy, not that I agree with everything he says.

His thoughts on this whole saga have been way off the mark though. He's overstating how much of a loss this is to us, and ignoring so much context - like Latu could be even better for one. And calling player power when the players are showing how much they care about the coach and the results?

Sure.

He refuses to even admit Latu exists . And. Ringing up stuff from 10 years ago , where the only people who were at the club was John Skandalis and Chris Lawrence , as a S&c and a player … I mean wtf ?
Like how can even Isaac Moses hate the “club” . Like it makes no sense . What do he hates the building ? The colours ? what constant from 2016 to now would constitute “the club” . What because we got rid of sheens , who had early onset dementia (sorry but it’s a true ) , and his mate McDonnell ( this was because. Fulton was a knob and Fedoras mate . Neither of those people are here now ) .
I don’t understand this narrative . Theres mot a single person who was in charge 3 years ago that’s still here . The whole club has had a clean out …. Top to bottom .
Its illogical . Especially for a player manager .

I've never loved or hated Buzz and don't always agree with him but I think the whining that he or the media in general hate us has not been justified. We've had negative media because the only things worth reporting on at our club for the last 10years has been negative. The club is doing some stuff right now, so they are getting rightly supported in the media. That's all there is to it in my opinion.
