Cam was one of the best if not THE best player of all time - it's more an indictment on how good Melbourne's recruitment and retention is that they have Grant and The Cheese to take his spot

The new rules also have a massive affect on how good they are going as they arguably have a weaker team than last year on paper but are still killing it.

Cameron Smith was a good player but I don't consider him in the GOAT debate for Rugby League. I don't think you ever played Melbourne and thought "how are we going to stop Smith". Yes I have heard all the quotes, "he played the game in a dinner suit". He was a good player, very solid,, great pass, strong defender, controlled the ruck. But, if my team was down by 6 in the closing stages of the game, he is not the guy I want given the ball (which is something a GOAT should be reknowned for).

To me, at his peak, Farah was far far more dominating and destructive.

Johns the greatest for me, could go to a level that C.Smith and co could not go to. Turbos 2021 is the best year of any player I have seen as well.

Johns the greatest for me, could go to a level that C.Smith and co could not go to. Turbos 2021 is the best year of any player I have seen as well.

Johns is the greatest player I've seen but Turbo is possibly performing at a higher level now.

Robbie at his best was better than Smith but Smith just did it year after year after year. He was a special player. I just can't compare Smith to Johns or Turbo. To me Johns and Turbo make a massive difference to their teams. Smith didn't really do that.
