Can NSW win the State Of Origin series

My prediction is NSW 2-1

Great to see some new blood rather than the same old losers every year ….. Just wish we could have a new coach and new selectors .... ie get rid of Fulton and Daley. All that said I think this is the year the Blues can win it ... Here's hoping anyway

Hodkinson will have a shocker in QLD, will get dropped for Origin 2…Pearce will be crap as usual.

QLD- 3-0

I hate the side we picked, but there is never much between them, so they can win. I wont be putting my hard earned on them.

No. Daly was a great player, but I think he is a piss poor coach.

Of the Canberra connection of the time I had him at 4-5 on the list

Meninga , Stuart , Walters and Clyde were imo better players

Do you think that a coach needs some NRL experience as a head coach before they become NSW (or Qld ) coach ??

It probably would be beneficial. My problem with Daley is I don't think he's a tactical coach. Apart from Hayne NSW doesn't have the sheer brilliance of Qld , therefore they need a plan to outsmart the opposition. I hope I'm wrong and I don't know Daley from a bar of soap, but I've heard him commentate and be interviewed and nothing has ever really stood out to me

We can hold them, even beat them, in the forwards, but they are far superior in the backs. I understand the reasoning behind picking a club combination in the halves, and these guys are competent first graders, but look who Qld has - Thurston and Cronk. We need for Hayne to fire in a big way and for Robbie to initiate things around the ruck.

Sure, NSW can win.

Can't see NSW winning game 1\. Maybe game 2 we'll win.
The only way I can see NSW winning game one is if QLD are complacent. However if QLD come out firing like Mal has had them doing… They'll have enough class to control the game.

Tough ask to beat Qld.

On the plus side smith/cronk & slater are all 30 plus years old now so within the next 5 years we are looking good.

For NSW to win we need Robbie playing out of his skin & Hayne doing the same.

When Hayne is on Fire say 2009 form…..he can make the players around him look like champions.

We have a team full of very good players.....none of them matchwinners on their own so it really comes down to Robbie and Haynes especially.

The biggest concern will be does Farah look at that side and think he has to overplay his hand

If he does , we all know what happens

I think 'yes they can'….

The selection of Hodkinson is very smart in my eyes as I see him as the perfect example what SOO is about. He will do his job and not attempt to do others. Great Kicking Game is always a winner at Origin Level!

I still think they are 1 Prop short to gain enough meters down the park, but if they can slow the Maroons down in the ruck, and gain good field possession, they can win.

Good Luck.... Go QUEENSLAND!!!

Mate I reckon your wrong , imo they have the forward rotation right

SOO is all about reasonable size and mobility in the modern day

Too many big men get caught out by smaller men late in games

The scary thought about this will be the speed of the game at SOO level seeing how much it has sped up since Round 1

QLD 3 nil

WT have more chance of winning the Grand Final this year then NSW winning a game

QLD will win 10 in a row then all their greats will retire. Smith, Slater. Cronk, JT etc.

I would love to see nsw win but not with the side they have named lewis had a game last week 1st for the year tell me how he could be match fit for soo now watch him have a blinder. scott has been playing hurt Hoffman has had 1 good game all year qld by 12
