Lovett & Milone are friends with the right people so they get kept around.

Milone is trash. That's one guy i will not defend.

He's a good trainer and he is good friends with Brooks, Moses, Noafoluma etc.

Seve etc isn't…oh well...let's go Milone!

Really got low expectations this year...

As for people wanting to get rid of him. imo he is better at the moment than Cordner and he just signed another big contract with the Rorters. Makes a difference to your game if you can play with some decent players.

And more hilarity. This is the kind of hype i have been talking about. I think there are a core of supporters who have just made up their mind that this guy is going to be a superstar no matter what and nothing will change their minds.

Siro's biggest (And only IMO) problem is that he's known from the age of 8 that he's a shoe in to play for the WT's - And now he is.
He's (Another) in the long, long line of kids in WT's history that have never had a good stint in Reserve Grade. He's never had to dig deep and earn his stripes (Pardon the pun). And to make it worse, He's getting picked for Rep Football….
You hear Gus Gould make reference to the fact that he's a better footballer than he seems with us....
If he went to Manly, He's be a rep backrower in a couple years. It's there - But it hasn't twigged with him yet. I hope it does while he's still with us... If not then move him on.
However, In true WT's fashion, It really doesn't matter how ya goin - You'll probably get another contract anyhow....

Read the post again please !!!!!!

I said **IN MY OPINION** - he is better than Cordner.
There is no hype and no spin. It is my opinion. Your opinion is that he isn't and that is ok.

I think Cordner is the most overhyped player in the NRL.

QUOTE from previous post - "Once again let us chop the tall poppy down (**not even a tall poppy** - unfortunately just has the name), doesn't matter, chop him down anyway".

Question: Do you actually read what you are commenting on or just make up what you want to comment on?

Will always carry the burden of his name which almost guarantees while ever he plays with the WTs, that in the eyes of some he will never live up to the expectation that comes with it, and will only be selected because of it. Still think he is definitely in our top 17, and just hope the level of criticism he seems to attract will be incentive for him to kick on, otherwise a change of club may be exactly the thing that he needs.

LMAO….better than Cordner

While I won't go as far to say Siro is currently better than Cordner, I do agree with Russell that Cordner is overrated. I think Curtis can go past him in 2016.

This is another reason that I have a big interest in 2016 season,Sirro,Brooks,Moses and to a degree Lovett all have had reasonable time to understand what NRL is all about..forget about the huge wraps and hype surrounding these players and start showing us what they are worth to us as NRL future stars that will take this club into the future of success..gone are the days of living off a name or reputation, now is the time for sound performances week in week out, time to stand up and be counted…I for one get sick and tired of hearing how good next year will be or the year after,NOW is the time to cement a solid platform to future success..when I played we had 35 players to pick your first and reserves from every week..I repeat 35 players to pick your first and reserves from every week...that means if I didn't perform to FG standard I was dropped to reserves, please don't tell me its so different now with players being paid big money to be in FG,that's a copout,if you don't perform you get dropped!!!!that's the way it should be..if you know you wont get dropped because you didn't play well but you will be picked again in FG is a dead set complacent attitude to have in a professional sport like ours...incentive to play better has gone out the window and for mine this is the area that really needs to be addressed for the better of our club...I don't care if the player who comes into FG as a replacement hasn't got a big hype around him,but he plays his very best, then that's great to see, that's what they all should be achieving,if they can't give their very best especially with the salaries they are on,then they should be moved on,I don't care what potential or talent they are REPUTED to have.

So why call him one if you said he wasn't in the very next sentence?

You didn't answer my question.

To answer yours:
Some Forumers are saying if he didn't have that name he wouldn't be in the team. (name is tall poppy, not the player). Maybe if he didn't have the name people would get off his back and let him get on with it.

It goes both ways. Is the reason people rate him so highly because of his last name?

Why? He is not a racehorse.

More sons of big name players fail rather than live up to expectations. These expectations then are unrealistic. It should be, his name is ignored and judge him on performance. That is not too much to ask - or is it?

Ok judging solely on performances it is safe to say that for a guy entering his 5th season of first grade he has been a dissapointment thus far. I agree that he debuted far too early but the fact he did means he has been exposed to the elite programme for a long time now.

2016 is the season he MUST stand up. If he does we could still see him playing top level for at least the next decade. Will be very interesting for both him and us.

Agree with most about the progress of our young players but I cant ignore the challenges they have faced moving forward playing for a club that not only has trouble recruiting quality players to play along side them, but also due to the standard of the systems/facilities, coaching and management that is largely responsible for guiding their path. Perhaps if we were not aware of how much they were being paid we wouldnt be so frustrated, however we all know why their contracts may appear to be inflated - until we can find some way to compete in the market we are always going to expect more from them, purely because of the money they are reportedly on.
