But even if we did make it, which is as probable as me winning lotto, we'd be out in the first week anyway, so what's the point of getting there if you are only making up the number? Oh wait, I hear " Finals are a different game"...yes, but that goes for the opposition too.

Finals experience maybe? Proof that we can win more games than we lose in a season for once and that we're actually improving? The excitement of watching the Tigers play finals? A chance to watch the Tigers actually play in a big game for once? Improving our reputation so that players actually wanna sign for us, a team that plays finals football? Hell even from a business perspective, making the finals isn't pointless as it means more wins = more fans throught the gates, buying merch etc etc etc etc.

This 'what's the point of making it' question is so bizarre. There are many positives of playing finals.

Of the bottom 4 teams, which is perceived as the most likely to get to a finals birth first?

I’m thinking they will be weighted according to how well they have managed their cap. As such I think it’s a race between Tigers and Warriors. But I can’t see it happening for a couple of seasons.

Whoever the coach is - I don't think has got that long with the fans. It only takes a few losses and the support drops off very quickly. The 5 year deal stinks of desperation ensuring Ciraldo that at least financially will be looked after if he doesn't last the distance.

It’s pretty insane for a rookie coach. There’s only 3 coaches you give 5 years too. Bennett, Bellamy and Robinson.

I have and as I said it's wishful thinking.

But if you look at the games we should have won or lost by less than 6 points - Warriors, Titans and Dragons we'd be on 14 points and in 7th.

Every team has games they should have won. Doesn’t mean they are any better. Besides, the games you point out we were absolutely woeful. The Titans game was the worst we’ve looked in 5 years, even if we had won. You scraping the bottom of the barrel so desperately you’re making holes in it.

Sure but I don't care about other teams. A win is a win regardless and those games were winnable for us.

Some of our losses have come down to clocking off mentally and allowing the opposition to run over the top and in others we've just been outclassed or gassed due to poor player management.

If Noddy (or the next coach) can change our mental steel and manage the team better, we'll be competitive and in the running.

Sheens comment was moronic. Look at the Cowboys. They were terrible. Now they are top 4.

We can turn it around but it won't be this season. We will also need some good signings, a good run with injuries, players playing to their ability and a good tactics from the coaching staff.

I don't believe it's the coach. The problem with lower level ability players is that when the going gets tough they don't perform. The Souths game was a classic example. They just smashed us up the middle and we couldn't go with them.

It's not mental steel. It's ability which may include form.
