Can we avoid the spoon?

We play the dragons, souffs, raiders, warriors, dolphins and finally the roosters. We could possibly beat dragons and maybe the dolphins if we have some players back. So at best we end up on 16 points. Probably only 14. If dragons and bulldogs win no more then 2nd last is still the best we can achieve.
Dragons play us, manly, eels, souffs, storm and warriors. The only team i could see them beating is us. So 16 points at best.
Dogs play panthers, dolphins, bye, knights, raiders, manly. That bye puts them out of our reach even if they don't win.
An utter disgrace of a season. Bula and Da Silva are probably the only highlights of the year. I just hope they can show some pride in the jersey and not lay down like they did the last few games of last season.
And fingers crossed Lee and Pascoe get the arse before next season!!

As I stated in another thread, I think we have to win twice more to avoid coming last. I agree, Dragons and Dolphins are the targets.
I think we can beat the Dragons, but our points differential will likely sink us if we don’t win after that.
The flogging in Townsville was very destructive.

Of course we can avoid it, but it’s going to take some conversion from effort to results to do so.
We just need to find an organiser or two to get our attack going. Maybe API at 6 can do the job ?
Winning this week and then the Tamworth adventure is a great place to start.

That's the way I see it too. I think if Brooks and Api had not got injured we would be sitting at least 2 wins higher up the ladder, we were building so well! It's heartbreaking how quickly we have fallen away from what could have been. I think Brooks is due back next week, if we can jag a win this week we still have a chance. It's pushing diarrhoea up hill with a fork to win with Bateman and Smith in the halves.

I don't think we have ever won in Tamworth. The last game I watched there was when Shaun Kenny Dowell was about 3m in front of the kicker and went over in the corner right at the death to give the Knights another win they didn't deserve. I was square in line with it on the Northern hill.

Getting the spoon might be the catalyst for most clubs to instigate change towards improvements, as many.last year hoped... Not for us though
Losing 3/4 of our spine has been a nightmare for us

Jesus we need a positive result Thursday if we don't see the attitude reqd at least... Well it wouldn't surprise me

For us it's the catalyst to sink even lower.

I feel like they will either win convincingly (as they well should) or will be standing around watching the game played like they did against the cowboys. They had more than enough chances to beat the Knights but they lay down as soon as something goes against them. As it inevitably does.

We most definitely can. That's not to say we will.

Dragons and Dolphins we're a shot. Roosters and Manly we're an outside shot. Canberra and Rabbits are very long odds. Warriors seems unthinkable right now. Brooks back will make some difference.

Getting a call or two would go a long way...

Yes, I remember that too. There’s always a first time and it’s as good a chance as we’ve got v Rabbits.

Dragons won't be an easy beat. We do need to though if we are any chance of avoiding the spoon. I think the points differential won't be the issue. There will be a few floggings handed out before year's end; if we can avoid those we should be okay.

I don't think it is as much about the spoon as it is about seeing improvement on the pitch, starting with the Dragons. Overnight, we are not going to fix what is wrong, but we should be able to take a step forward.

Dragons play out the back so they will score plenty down the wings , can’t see us getting up , think it will be tight but it will end like last weeks game

We never win the games we are expected to against similar or lesser opposition. We did beat the Dragons though earlier so that was defying recent history. Hopefully we can get the double.
