Can we avoid the spoon?

The fact of the matter is that if we win all our game from now until the end of the season we will avoid the spoon, however, being realistic, the spoon is ours.

Yes we will dodge the spoon
starts on Friday night with the wabbits then we beat the Rorters and Eagles , il give the raiders game a maybe we win , it be close up game
Love your optimism and if your tips are correct ( V South’s, Rorters and Eagles) I’ll donate $50 to a charity of your choice.
If not I’ll send you a hanky !!!

Unfortunately, we don't have a very good record over the last 5 games of each season. Winning only 16 of the last 5 during the last 10 seasons.
We've only managed 3 wins out of 5 once and that was in 2018.
I think what's going against us here is, and it kinda stands out like a dog on a billboard, we've won only 7 of our last 42 games.
But hey? Stranger things have happened?

You had to give those statistics to dampen the happy delusion that we’ll win 3 games

If they beat South’s this week, that’s better than avoiding the spoon.
We lack the basic skills such as:
* not turning your back on the opposition when getting back into the defensive line’
This is a basic skill that is coached at junior level.
It was evident again last night against the Bunnies - even Papalii was guilty when after making a joint tackle he turned his back and jogged back to the defensive line. Souths took advantage by running straight at him and in fact using him as a shield against other defenders.
We are the only team that does this week in, week out - who is coaching this mob?
IT FRUSTRATED THE HELL OUT OF ME !
The dumb-arse short drop-outs straight to Campbell Graham didn’t help either. It highlighted that we are lengths behind the rest of the comp in the intelligence stakes ..
2 points in arrears and nothing between the ears!!!

I think it’s highly likely (and deserved) that we win the spoon, but there’s still a chance we avoid it. I can’t see the Dragons winning another game all year. If they do it’ll be a huge upset.

Now that our “number one points creator” Luke Brooks is back to have some more “STFU games” with his “elite” passing skills, Api is back, Laurie’s in the halves, we have enough talent to win a few more games before the end of the year.

Raiders are terrible at home (despite what most people think) and can’t win games by more than a couple of points even if they run out to big leads. They’re very vulnerable despite their ladder position.

Dolphins form is nowhere near what it was at the start of the year. They’re vulnerable.

Manly and Roosters defence is poor this year and their attack is very hot and cold. Roosters terrible attack this year.

Warriors we have no chance.

It’s possible we win 3 of those games. Unlikely, but possible.

We have 5 games left to salvage something from an absolute shipwreck of a season. Our current form indicates that we will end up 3-21 for the year and stone motherless last,of course i always hope for something better than what we are currently "achieving".
This is completely unacceptable and i don't care if the few fan boys who are left dislike what i am saying.
