Can we beat the dragons ??

I hate playing teams after they have been flogged

Especially when we play them at their own home ground

Not the time to get overconfident , but expect Benji to have a huge game to support his best mate

Im pretty sure we will be up for this game i dont think dragons can stop our attack going out wide we have to much strike power and hopfully lote tuqiri will be bak.

A loss will do us OK, Dont worry.

As for my No 2 team, They were pitiful tonight. I actually had to stop watching

The Tigers and Dragons both have their own concerns after this round. The Dragons look like they'll have Beau Scott on the sideline next week with a bad cork and Weyman and Ah Mau were both placed on report. Anyway, a week is a long time and a lot can happen.

The aura around the Dragons is well and truely gone. They will well and truely be brought back to the pack this year and will be fighting for a spot at the bottom of the 8\. I think we're good things against them, with or without Ellis

I would love nothing more than beating them at Jubilee but i will hold judgement until i see both teams named.
They will be mighty fired up after tonights display and the crowd will be worth 12 points to them.

That depends on how much of the crowd Bennett has taken to Newcastle with him! Lol

I hate playing teams that got flogged as well. That scoreline was a bit of a surprise, just as long as we don't pay any attention to it, we can win.

Simple Question my Answer is NO we cannot beat them, now dont go blocking me or anything just yet. My concern is our lack of getting dirty having a dig in defence, against manly we just did not show up in defence, are we just dumb enough to think that we can score more points than the other team if they score 26, we can score 28, we are like rabbits in the head lights when we play against a side ready and willing to defend against us, cronulla proved that and so did manly, im sorry but we should be 0/2 not 1/2 and everybody here knows that. The sooner we stop playing razzle dazzle and start defending the attack will click, but until then we will struggle. Its defence that wins games not flash throw the ball around score a try or 3 and just hope the opposition only score 2.

Mafia the only thing I disagree with is the result I think we will beat the Dragons , especially if Beau Scott is out and Weyman gets suspended

How we win the game will be the interesting though If we can improve our kicking game and completion rates we should win

soward got rattled and started to yell at touch judges etc , confidence is down at dragqueens , if their 7 was not playing last night it would have been 50 points , ben craugh run the ball once in 6 sets in the second half because he was getting smashed and a lot of the hits was ex tiget dean halitau , weyman gets smashed he turns dirty , its very simple kick off and belt them , they cant handle it , if we dont and they get a little confidence it could be tough for us after their loss last night , woods and BMM to start with moores coming on after 10 / 12 minutes and keep belting them

Don't forget Ah Mau on report for the shoulder in the 2nd half

It will show us his true colours in my opinion

Doing that is like raising a red flag to a bull in my opinion and that bull is Marshall

Never piss off someone's best mate ,especially when he is as talented as Marshall

I think we can beat them but they will not play as badly as they did on Saturday night which concerns me. There is surely no way they will turn in a performance like that two weeks in a row.

We need to:

a. Bomb the crap out of Kyle Stanley at fullback. He does not look very confident under the high ball. I suspect Soward will do the same to Humble.

b. Hope that Beau Scott is selected in the centres. He is not a centre and hasn't had a good game in the centres for years. He isn't fast enough in defense and stifles their attack when playing in the backline. We need to target him.

c. Our forwards need to step up and dominate. If Ellis is out I will not be confident of this happening at all.

d. Our kicking game needs to improve. Specifically our long kicking game. No more kicks straight down the throat of the opposition wingers and fullbacks. Perhaps "the biggest boot in the club" can try a kick or two? Wouldn't hurt.

e. Hornby has defended on the right side so far this year and nearly all tries have come down his side. He has normally been a decent defender but has been diabolical in the first two games. We need our left side switched on and direct alot of traffic down that side.
