Can we start dropping players now please?

This is not rep footy where you pick players on form
this is club footy
we pay these superstars BIG big MONEy to go out there and perform
sometimes they are not professional enough
and sometimes prove that their ego is greater than their stupidity
Sheens must be the one giving these players a reality check

Can remember a few years ago when Bellamy dropped Slater . Look what happened then No reason why Sheens can't drop anyone even if it is just to make a point . That NOONE is bigger than the team

I think we also need to "drop" farah - i am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt over a nagging groin injury - those things just don't go away - although a week or two rest also wont fix it either - he is trying to battle through to year end but his form has suffered badly. If you look at the last three/four years of Dally M votes - he has garnered the most votes of ANY player in the NRL - this year he is well off the pace.

Benji - he will be fine - he needed the run against parra - and once the court stuff is over he will aim up

If Fifita can't manage to fire up, I wouldn't mind seeing him dropped and giving that Groat a twenty minute run.

I dont remember that

In 2006 I recall that Slater did not go straight back to 1st grade after his suspension for a judo throw on a Roosters player

if you want to put more pressure on our salary cap ,sure go ahead

you can rotate them into the side but a mass clear out will only add pressure to your salary cap.

From Wikipedia
"2006 season

Slater had a less successful 2006 season. He was suspended in round 4 for seven matches for kicking **Wests Tigers' prop John Skandalis**. In his comeback game in round 13 against the Sydney Roosters, Slater only played 25 minutes of the second half on the wing and was later found guilty of using a dangerous throw on Roosters' centre Ryan Cross. He was suspended for 2 matches. After Slater's second suspension, Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy decided to give Slater some warm up matches for his comeback into first grade with both North Sydney Bears (Melbourne's feeder club in the NSWRL Premier League) and Norths Devils (Melbourne's feeder club in the Queensland Cup).[citation needed]

Slater made his NRL comeback in round 18 playing his preferred fullback position when Melbourne Storm defeated the Brisbane Broncos at Olympic Park 10–4\. In round 22 **against the Wests Tigers**, he was given a two match suspension for a late forearm, which was his third suspension for the season. He came back to the main lineup in round 25 against the Canberra Raiders. A few weeks later, he played in his first grand final, where, despite losing to the Brisbane Broncos, he played a fine game"

he's still a grub but now masks it and gets away with it.

Yes - the genius gives players a lot of chances but even he had enough of those performances.

"Bring in Mullaney, Miller, Koroibete and Moors"????
Whoever suggested this I'm glad ur not the coach! This would spell end of the season!
Miller is not ready for the full time gig so y rush him, koroibete is just young and inexperienced and is quoted as still learning the game y rush him?! Too big a step up from 20s to NRL wen ur at that developmental stage, wen and if he is ready in the future he will play.. As for moors, he had plenty of chances, he's hopeless, doesnt matter how good he goes in premier league he isn't first grade standard, for his size I don't think he runs hard enough.. I stand by sheens he knows how to develop stars, he has the respect of the most intelligent minds in the NRL for this reason, he knows wot he Is doing, we don't know wot happens behind scenes, the mental side contributes to selection not just playing ability..
It frustrates me y ppl always Wana rush young kids, this year thanks to injuries we have had to play young people more often then we would have liked to and look at the season we r having as a result of having the experience out..
Whether players r leaving or not we still need the best players on the field

I think we should let our NYC 'stars' develop and not rush them into 1st grade.. IMO, all of u guys pushing for the immediate selection of Mullaney, Korribete, Tedesco, Grote, Begovich are missing the point of what, and how Sheens is trying to develop these guys.. And I have no doubt that u will all be the first ones to bag and ridicule these young blokes if they don't perform in their first outing in the top grade - they are on a hiding to nothing!! Maybe our 1st graders should do what they get paid to do - PLAY FOOTY!!

Craig u virtually reiterated wot I just said so very well put, common sense with these young blokes will prevail

Tigerlogic, let's hope common sense does prevail.. I would hate to see the confidence of these young kids bashed and bruised early on in their careers… Lets face it, just because they have played a handful of good games in NYC, doesn't automatically mean they are going to perform to the same level in 1st grade.. Let's give them the time they need to develop before promoting them.

Exactly right, to rush is to damage, Patience will bring success in the future.. In my opinion this is sheens specialty knowing how to develop kids so I think u an I and the rest of us can be assured we don't have to worry about it
