I am having real concerns that Hodgo is an ordinary coach, he has a team with a heap of players who have played NRL and they are showing nothing.
His team selection is questionable at best, you would think this team should be playing a whole lot better than this

We're getting totally dominated. We look pathetic. But that's too be expected when 2/3 of the team are plodders.
Otoole and heleta aren't up to this level. We lack anyone who can dent or break the line. We have 6 pedestrian back rowers out there today. Not one of them are capable breaking a tackle.
The fact we haven't recruited for junior grades in the last few years is extremely apparent.

The knights are much bigger, stronger and faster than us. But sure why Reynolds is sitting back like a passenger and getting madden on debut to do ask the work.
Anyway, no props and a heap of errors and we're losing 8-4.

Yep he's made a lot of odd selections this year. In his defence he has very little talent to work with. And a lot of these losers from the nrl squad who've been told they're not good enough and are on their way out so may not be motivated to perform in reserve grade

No push up the middle and silly mistakes. I’d move Gamble to 7 and Madden to 9 because Madden is just a bit predictable with his inside hit up ball and not using his small size in wet weather to take them on

@balmain-boy I don’t think Grub is a passenger at all, he looks like the only one likely to create anything. His chase and ankle tap saved a try.
Ball handling is poor, no real go forward is not helping either

Grub has put in one kick (a good one) and made a good ankle tap. Otherwise he's done nothing

Very laclustre first half from Wests. Hodgson needs to wake them up, The team hasn't been playing to their potential most of the season.

1. Heleta - had some errors in the first half but is probably one the only players running with some vigour.
2. O’toole - Useless, jordan rankin is better.
3. Talau - missed a tackle that led to a try but hasn’t seen much ball otherwise.
4. Momirovski - been good in attack and defence, his try was exactly the same as the semi final one.
5. Bradley - as usual solid so far
6. Renoylds - did some good things in that half but no structure and just clumsy with some things.
7. Madden - been impressed with him so far, he is just too small.
8. Clark - been busy in the first half, good stint.
9. Robson - doing his job.
10. Idk his name - rubbish
11. McQueen - hasn’t done anything and barely touched the ball.
12. Garner - good carries but has some errors in his game aswell.
13. Taylor - silly penalties, busy in defence not much in attack.

Bench hasn’t done much yet, gamble has come on and played hooker, with Seyfarth and mclintyre playing props.

But who can step up?there's no one who's capable of getting over the advantage line or beating a man. Our gameplan when down their end will be kick it to Bradley and hope he can do something.

You are probably right good players often do not become good coaches.If you look at all of the best coaches over the years most where nothing special as players
