well done James. No doubt his rep experience will help the kids coming through. Really hope we can give the premiership a crack this year.

I still think Brooks was selected as captain as a sign of confidence but also an expectation of how much he must assert himself. It wasn't long ago he was coming off the bench. I think the club is struggling to make his character something it clearly isn't, but we'll see.
Douehi has been talked up as a leader before on here and the way he stood up in that Manly game shows the character of the man.
Nofa sets the best example on the training field and has shown loyalty to our club that is uncommon. He deserves this honour.
Lucy...he's *young*, give it time. His best is definitely yet to come. He's certainly not been robbed.
Mbye, it would seem, is not in the club's long-term future, so why let him keep the captaincy? Maybe he'll do consistently well without extra duties.
I forgot about Twal. Doesn't move the needle for me.

Aside from Douehi, there is no real standout captain material on the Horizon, but 2 years is a long time in the NRL and I expect Tamou to be captain next year too

This is a surprise to me. He may be still trying to get out or maybe the club are being tough trying to force him out. I don’t know. We need him this year but it’s weird to go from penthouse to doghouse in one move. Maybe Maguire is looking towards the next few years.
