Carney is the danger man

If we can control Carney we will go a long way in stopping the roosters. He pumbled us in the foundation cup hope he cant do it again. And watch out Wests for those high bombs aimed at Moltzen. I'm sure they watched last nights match with Moltzen spilling 3 kicks. Nobody likes losing to the roosters.

He is a quality player, always has been. Should play Origin this season.

He is at fullback, but will chime into the line all the time. He will shred us to pieces if we don't shut him down. Has a great kicking game as well.

He shredded us at least once against trhe Raiders too. Very very good player.
He actually improved in the rorters game when Anasta went off & he was moved in to 5/8\. So hopefully anasta is fit.

The roosters have a not too dissimilar attacking structure to ours this season. Carney is the key, Pearce is a threat, we'll need to defend a hell of a lot better than we did in the first half last night. The roosters right now have an attack that can cause us issue if we switch off in the middle again. Having said all that, if we improve on last nights performance, you'd like to believe we're the better team and should win.

The Roosters kicking game is where they are the most dangerous.

SKD will also come close to his positional award at the Dally M's this year. He is due for a massive season

Good player, not great.
The Bunnies **let** him run riot. A closer eye on him by the boys and he wont even post a Dally M point!
We played against a hardened Manly pack with plenty of talent all over the park and WON.
The chooks played an "all talk" bunnies side who looked like a NSW cup team at best.

Our point scoring ability will out do theirs 10 fold!
Hi scoring game predicted but we will get the bikkies at fulltime.

I dont want to sound crazy, but Anasta is the one id be watching… He always seems to play well against us and with alot of the attack pressure taken off him by Pearce and Carney i really think he is the danger... Ingore him and he will punish us im sure of it...

He's got pace, and from what I saw of him at the Parra trial at Bluetongue, a lot of skill to match. Him and Pearce(off) combined well. Shut them down, win the game.

Carney will only be a danger man if we let them get alot of possession in our half. He actually is a pretty good supporting fullback. He will look for inside balls targeting tired forwards. I think Pearce will be testing Moltzen with alot of bombs (if Moltz plays fullback) and also testing whoever is on the right wing with cross kicks. I won't be surprised if the Roosters put some grubber kicks behind Lote when close to the tryline too. Roosters also have some under-rated forwards. Our forwards will need to Step Up. Need another frontrow on the interchange instead of Fitzy. Moors can come on as a second rower. If they get alot of good field position through our mistakes then they will put alot of points on us. If we have a very good completion rate and defend well then we will probably win.

Kenny-Dowall is a big danger as well, I hope whoever is marking up on him gets plenty of tackling practice during the week, his ability to beat the first defender is awesome, he nearly always beats the first tackle.

He reminds me of Gasnier & Brad Tighe in that hes one of those players that just seem to have blinders against us.

Carney and SKD carved up on the weekend. Also looks like Nate Myles has cut the crap and is shaping up for a huge season. Also, young Mitch Aubusson had a good game, playing down the right edge (although the Souths defence was pretty week). I can't see him playing as well up against Lawrence!

Couldn't be further from the truth.

Totally agree. On-field I rate him as a much better and more complete footballer than Benji. If he holds it together off-field he will be the guy who NSW build their Origin team around for years to come.

Carney has to be watched closely, along with Pearce. Those two played all over the Tigers in the Foundation Cup, although the Tigers treated it as a trial and nothing more. The Roosters have the better kicking game too, although I reckon the Tigers can match it on their day, but consistency-wise, the Roosters kicking game is better.

As to how well Carney and Pearce play will be largely dependent on how well the Tigers forwards go IMO. If the Tigers pack gets on top of the Roosters early, and Farah and Marshall take control, well look out.

we just need to play for 80mins not 30mins like on monday! cut out the silly penaltys and our kicking game needs to improve and we win!

Funny…Stewart was a dangerman ...he's out for 20 weeks...

Watmough...DNA Freak another dangerman.......controlled...

The fearsome Manly Bench.....controlled....

down 4 - 20 and we came back to win....Mental pressure.....tick...hold a class team to 2 points for 65 mins ...tick

Seems some should focus more on our side and how the Rorters will fail to handle them......

Rather than a hired gun who's licky to find his way out of a dunny.....

Simple...Carney...Smash him.... :sign:

I can't help thinking that fitness was our friend on Monday. The Eagles worked themselves into the ground- possibly why we saw the lazy arms in tackles late in the game. We should enjoy it while it exists, but I can't help thinking that without injuries we will only get better!!!!!
