need to get up and in their face during game next week.
no room to move, or they can cause trouble.

then belt Anasta each time he has the ball  , be wary of his mid field bombs. 😛ray:

We really struggle against the Roosters, they seem to always play well against us. Would love to put a score on them!

We play the Roosters the wrong way most times . If we can work there big forwards around and have the same ball control we did against the Cowboys (bar about 10 minutes before half time)we should win comfortably

This game will go 2 ways. Theyll play dejected as they are no hope for the 8 or theyll chance their arm and play carefree. If the passes stick we are in a heap of trouble coz im still not sold on our ruck defence.

Really? Why?
Defence up the middle esp. in our own 20 has been good.
Although, the defence outwide and high bombs has always been ordinary.

I thought Parra found us out up the middle, luckily they often went wide.
Roosters are dead set crap, we should pump em at home, big home crowd, on a roll - no probs.

you that confident ink?

This game worries me….they are one of our bogey teams

I hope we do i got so many mates that are easts fans i want to give it to.

Roosters havent been playing well…..SKD is a danger, pearce too but Anasta and carney have been doing little, hopefully Mini still out but I dont think so

The Roosters are defensively retarded. Their only good tacklers are Anasta, Symonds and Ryles and those three are the ones who concede their most penalties in defense. We need to just play them with all out attack and we'll beat them 50-16 or something. Give them no quarter. They are always gonna score a couple of tries by running Frank Paul or SKD at Lui or getting into the backfield and spreading it and catching Ryan, Ayshford or Brown on the back foot, but they should have nowhere near as many points in them as we do.

If I were in charge, the gameplan would be, start the game playing conservatively. Complete your sets and kick deep (or dead even). If we control possession and field position early, they will crack early. If we get to beyond a converted try ahead at any stage, put the pedal down and attack them with everything. Hail Mary's all over the place. Revert to option 1 if they get back to within a converted try, rinse and repeat. Their strike players are covered for the most part, except for having Lui defending against SKD and FPN which means Lui needs boatloads of cover. Across the rest of the field we have no matchups where their offense is better than our defenders. On the flipside, we have them covered across most of the park (except for on the wings).

I really just think its a matter of completing our sets. We were good against the Cowboys (or better than usual) and it led to a dominant performance. Pearce and Carney are great at manufacturing points during broken play. Their defence is terrible, so considering our line up we should be able to pile some points on.

Definitely need to complete our sets and need to dominate in the forwards, with a roll on through set completion and good field position from positive kicking and defence. This should limit their attacking opportunities as they back peddle or become flustered. If WTs get in front they can't afford to clock off though as any opportunity to let this mob in they will take. Look for Heighno to give his all, Farah to continue to take steps to improve, Benji to weave some magic and Ashford to go all out to score against his old club.

Yes, nothing worse than seeing WTs work hard to earn points then turn their back or foot off the peddle and let their opponents back in. Definitely don't need that against the rorters hate to see any of them score.

If the team plays attacking footy for the whole 80min without the mentality of trying to protect a lead, we will win by 16-20..

Tigers have a habit of taking 1 step forward & 2 steps back when infront early in the games which allows other teams to get back into the game.

I think the game against souths was cruical for them, and the one point loss would have broken their spirits.

what we really need to do against this mob is rack up a cricket score. They are playing like a rabble in defense, and we can frustrate them in defense if we staunch up. Need Gibbs, Ellis, and Galloway to stand up in defense in a big way, and knock some balls loose.

CARN TIGERS!

Can someone tell me when was the last time we beat a team that contained Todd Carney?

He seems to be our biggest bogey player. We couldn't win when he was at the Raiders and he got us every game last year.

Maybe we should of organized a trial against the Atherton side we would of beaten him then . Side note If you ever get a chance to go to Atherton take it it is a beautiful place . If we have beaten him I can't remember when .

Agree with you there UD.

The Roosters are my pick this year for that team that is effectively out of the finals race that will make a dogs breakfast of every teams run home.
