CEO - Shane Richardson

He's got a bit of presence about him. I love how he differentiates himself away from the team. It's about the club for him, not the team. Benji looks after the team.

His logical reasoning in doing things is quite good. He didn't throw anyone under the bus, not even Moses to an extent.

Absolutely love what he said about the Board. They don't need to know any of this and they only get to know on an 'as required' basis. The leaks have definitely been minimal since his tenure here.

Did anyone here him mention that we got a major car company involved to get the Galvin deal done? Thought the TPAs need to be done away from the Club or they're considered part of the cap. Richo might not wanna mention this stuff in media next time. The reporters/ manager would eat this stuff up.
Know I'm replying to an older post though @tig_prmz I'm pretty sure the endorsement can only be offered by a sponsor, the club are not supposed to be allowed to go out to arrange them. If a company go to the club and say we will give you 200k towards a 3rd party deal that's fine. But if Richo goes to the company and says I'll give you advertising if you give me 200k for a 3rd party deal, then I'm pretty sure he could be in breach of the cap. Same as post career employment if it's offered while they're playing it needs to be declared. Pretty sure that's why Weilder was saying Richo got eyebrows raised and someone went to the N.R.L in regard to Richo saying he organised a car company for Galvin. No doubt it was that dirt bag Moses.

Graham always criticises what we do as a club, I’ll be interested to see how his views are expressed (or not expressed) around Richo.

Loves calling us a basket case.

I think he finished up playing in a few shit sides himself.
Yeah, last year, he was pushing us to close down or relocate.

Now he wants to ride on our cinderella story of bad club coming good.

Trouble is, we dont forgive or forget.

Once you cross us, youre pretty much cactus.

He is sticking up for a club that chewed him up and spat him out
I used to consider him ok, but when he started on us, i realised he was a just another media happy clapper. Its very easy to stomp on another club when its struggling.

As members and supporters, its our divine right to flog our own club for its own good.

But we all get a bit tired of and miffed with critics ...who usually get it wrong anyway.

Exactly mate

I didn't mind him either

But the dumb ass pom can piss off back to England with his Neanderthal opinions

Thats right.

Everyone knew it wasnt the fans of the club screwing things up, it was our management at the time.

They were basically incompetent.

Im not saying we are home free, but at least things are looking brighter.

Even after last years mess, i renewed the membership. And its nice to see fellow tragics and players especially, having a better time with it.

It means a lot more to us than other clubs who take success for granted, so we get more out of it i reckon.

Richo and Benji dont get enough credit for what they are doing for our roster to mitigate the risk when the Bears and PNG enter the comp.

As this has played out, along with the Galvin saga, it just reinforces we are in the right hands the way richo "pops the pimple" to find out who's in and who's out. There isn't time to waste at the moment. Because the transfer market is going to go to into overdrive sooner rather than later.

3 years ago I think a resigning like TDS is big for us.... But that's because we held our hopes on unproven youngsters to save our team. It would be great if we keep him, I want him to stay, I rate him, but if he buys into the Galvin mindset and wants out then it's not the end of the world for us.

The end of the world for us is if Luai and May leave. If we hear whispers about those guys then we are in trouble.

Bula could be a casualty given who his manager is, but he seems like a family guy, and if he feels like he has a family at the tigers and is earning relatively good money - I don't see him leaving.. I notice a group of them pray after a game together which is interesting.. but reinforces that there is group of players who at their core want to be there for each other. It's more than footy, it's spiritual.

This rebuild is different.. I just hope Richo looks after his health (I worry about his weight and the stresses of the role). That is what I see our biggest risk being at the moment!
End rant

Richo deserves a lot of credit for all the offseason signings which have contributed to the improved play of the team this year …

They need a similar haul though this offseason to push some players at the club now down the depth chart …

He has a rocky path to navigate these re-signing in the medium term with the big names May, JL and Bula all exposed to the expansion clubs over the next 18 months … let’s hope he earns his money..

Benji too. He has a harder job than Ciraldo who was heralded as the rugby league whisperer, even when they were losing.

When you take into consideration the position we were in with repeated spoons and the terrible spoon bowl performance he's done an outstanding job.
Said the new signings coming in soon were exciting can't wait to see who they are, not long to wait now.

What's even better is the team is winning games with determination this looks very attractive to quality players looking to move, no doubt Richo can improve the roster even more down the track, very exciting.
