CEO - Shane Richardson

Lol what? We let go Stef, Ice, Bateman, Klemmer and soon to be Galvin with no replacements.
May replaced Stef.
Hunt replaced Klemmer.

We're in the market for a second rower currently, with most reports being KPP.

And Galvin left 5 seconds ago.

You're being inaccurate.

... Again.

Galvin leaving solves a potential headache IF the Latu signing wasn’t a stuff-up in the first place. Big IF.

I’m with you and GNR, we still have holes to fill in the forwards and believe me I’m checking back here daily to see if we’ve filled those gaps BUT I also remember how poorly we’ve done in the past using the “signing what’s available on overs” strategy.

Richo has frustrated fans with his patient approach but we need to remember his track record is building winning clubs, while ours is watching a losing one.
I think its best dealt with on a case by case basis, but totally agree that said player has to be able to fill a gap for the period of the tenure.

So a criterion (maybe in no particular order):

1. Can play
2. Is in good mental and physical shape
3. Listens to coach
4. Team first and good team/club man
5. Trains hard
6. Utility value
7. Disciplined
8. Fairly priced
9. Not a lair
10. Footy smarts
11. Not a client of Issac Moses
12. Loves our club, members, fans and people,

Which if taken to the letter, means no represetatives or marquee i guess!

i think our new recruits, theyve added value and as we know, their selection wasnt made in a hurry.

Same old problems simply keep perpetuating
We give away contracted and proven players for nothing or peanuts(Galvin/Papali/Klemmer)to placate a rookie coach and post 2024(after wed bought some outside talent when Benji was on his training wheels full of promise), we get absolutely nothing back in return for any of these losses.
Gobsmacking
...whilst concurrently we have a totally ineffective and unproductive juniors pathway which delivers very little, and is dwarfed by the transit lounge at Bondi. And whatever we do indeed provide gets cannibalised in a heartbeat because we dont offer anything in the eyes of most player managers
Dunno..I really, really like Richo...but were either a complete basket case or hes asleep at the wheel
Surprise me with some recruitments.
.Im fast running out of patience
I must assume there's something more to it.

I am pretty certain Richo knows what he's doing and he's definitely been around tough situations for decades. He's handled his time at the Tigers pretty well so far.

We made a point of publicly saying we'd keep Galvin to his contract and now he's being released. Given the lower value of his contract and the money we had lined up, I would have to assume either we've spotted an opportunity ourselves (and we need Galvin to go, to take it on) or he's so toxic to the playing group now that it's in our best interests.

On the latter, that's the problem with these selfish self-hype players who want out. You don't want to let them get away with it, but successful teams are about positive vibes and collaboration, not some kid standing in the corner doing his own exercises. Mitch Moses wasn't going to be let go either, then he tanked a few games and we basically had no option.

And there's no protection from the NRL for these sabotage plays where the player makes it untenable.

Stef, Klem, Bateman and Papa...the tears are veritably running my cheeks by their permanent omission from our roster.

Weve more than replaced these holiday making pussies.

I thought you were on the wagon? Have a night off!

Bateman, ffs i had to blink to make sure i wasnt seeing things.

How many spoons did this sordid lot deliver?
Who have they been replaced with?
May tick. Hunt? He doesn’t do enough to replace any of them. Bird? Probably a replacement for Bateman…on occasion.

How does Hunt replace Klemmer when we signed Hunt six months before Klemmer was released. What a reach.
Never bought a new car before selling the old?

He's a replacement because he has replaced Klemmer's position in the prop rotation.

We lost two props from our 2024 rotation and gained two props for the 2025 season. Their roles have been filled by replacements in their position.

This isn't Mensa-level stuff.

You were inaccurate, now you're dancing in the semantics to try and prove that your earlier statement wasn't inaccurate.

Nah you’re reaching and trying to gaslight on top of it.

Hunt isnt a replacement for Klemmer. I was under the impression that he was brought in to compliment Dave.
Klem didnt have the impact, but he got through his tackles and put the time in. He also provided experience and mentorship off the field. Hunt was bought to add a bit of starch off the bench for 20 or so minutes. Their numbers comparison:

As always, I appreciate the effort in collecting the data.

But there was no mention of Royce being a like-for-like replacement. That's not my argument.

The numbers indicate their output or role is different in terms of how they are used.

But they play the same position, for the same club.

Stef and Terrell also have very styles, outputs and are used differently as well, though, it would be hard to argue that Terrell was not the replacement of Stefano.

Two props left, two came in. Ergo, the two who came in are the replacements for the ones who left, even if their games or how they're used are different.

To use the car analogy again, if I own a Mazda 2, buy a new Ranger to replace it as my primary vehicle, then sell my Mazda 2, the Ranger is, pretty clearly, the replacement vehicle, even if they present differently, have different engines, drivetrains, or are designed for different purposes, etc.

Almost agree with you but unfortunately i have no faith in Benji as a head coach. I just think Benji won't be able to get the best out of any player., time will tell but i think he will be gone by the end of 2026!!!
Look, I have whatever criticisms of Benji as a coach.

But to say he "won't be able to get the best out of any player" is total rubbish.

Even someone like Jason Taylor got Lawrence to transition to the front row. Madge was way too tough, but Twal certainly improved under him. Were seeing Luai and others add some attacking elements to their game. It's clear the Galvin thing has derailed us badly...

Benji may be gone by 2026. But a stack of players will be improving under him.

Yes but you may live to regret that decision...Rangerovers have design faults.
We didnt need to punt Klemmer, he was still putting out decent numbers and he in conjunction with May, Pole, Hunt and Twal would have shored up the middle more than it is.
Anyway, it is what it is, we are still light on in both the front and backrow as we head into the toughest part of the draw for us. They need help.

Gaslighting has become one of the most overused words in society over the past 5 years ..often used incorrectly as well
a psychological manipulation technique in which a person tries to convince someone that their reality is untrue”

He’s trying to tell me I’m crazy for claiming that Hunt did not in fact replace Klemmer. In other words, he’s telling me that reality is untrue.

The next line which you omitted …. “It’s a tactic often used by narcissists to gain control of their intended target” … maybe you should take a break from his gaslighting to make sure that doesn’t happen …
