I think he's in the same boat as a lot of the players. Just here for the paycheck.

If this statement doesn't show he's out of his depth, I'll eat my Wests Tigers lunchbox.

Core product and winning? Are you for real? My 3 year old nephew could tell me this.

Clearly there has not been enough improvement behind the scenes either.

The coach of the number one club couldn't turn us around and walked out on us, so there are some very serious management issues at our club that need to change.

I am a bit confused as Paul Kent states,

"Maguire arrived at the club in 2019 turfing out some top-line talent to bring his own players in."

Who were the top line players that were turfed that would have made a difference to us at the moment?

I can think of a couple of reasonable players, but no one that you would call top line that have been released since Madge has been here that would be making us a contender at the moment.

It is an article a bit all over the place. James Hooper is a moron, I don't take anything he says seriously, because he's always looking for a narrative rather than a considered opinion.

The fact that Hooper is reporting about his blogging session with fans really says everything about how helpful / constructive the article is. You only have to go on Facebook 5 minutes to know you really should not be developing an opinion based on generalised online anonymous feedback.

And they say to "torch the roster", whilst also saying there's an ingrained culture of failure - well a new roster won't help if the fundamental culture does not change.

Can you tell us what you mean by "couldn't turn us around ".
I was under the impression he abandoned the bus to go and coach his son.
Also he could no doubt see the quality juniors coming thru at Penrith that the previous coach and Phil Gould set up, and decided to take the easy way out after We dragged him out of nowhere.
Plus...I hope you enjoy eating your lunchbox.

Well, he's one of the better NRL coaches and couldn't get us in the top half of the ladder, even with a relatively open cheque book.

Now we've got a coach who was assistant at the Storm when they dominated, has won multiple premierships here and in the UK who is achieving similar to the previous the coaches.

There's one constant in this sad saga and it ain't the coach.

It wouldn't have mattered how much money we had to spend. Maguire won't attract the calibre of player required. Was it Pascoe's bulletin which advised one of Sheens' tasks will be to assist the club in attracting players we need? It seems the Club understands this as well.

Cleary is a fine coach but last time I checked he coaches the Panthers at the top of the table.

Are you attempting to fit him up for our thrashing. Sorry but that is all on Maguire, You cannot deflect.
