It's just a wall of words. Nothing to actually read as usual.
It's like they have a CEO handbook with the generic templates of responses.

The improvement - or lifting of the bar - in areas of S+C, game day highest home crowd averages, sponsorships, the huge increase in memberships arent just words. The other areas he speaks of I dont know.

Theyre improvements
It could be worse

So he pointing out some small positives to mask the fact we aren't successful and complete mess.
These are the sort of articles CEOs put out when under pressure.
It all means diddly squat because we constantly failing.
I don't care for these facts or stats he provides. Doesn't make me feel any better now that we are favorites for the spoon and the uncertainty regarding the playing group that is still unaddressed.

Yeah everything is great in Tiger town.

They are hardly small positives. As he said, the admin side of the business and membership drive are going well. As is the sponsorship. These are all vital to the long term success of the club and need to be in place if the football side of operations is to have a solid basis.
We are all bitterly disappointed at the 'on-field' results and this has led to the the sacking of the coach.
Nowhere has Pascoe tried to 'mask' anything. He's come straight out and said it. I just don't know what else you want the man to do.

TELL ME THIS

Why couldn't Mr Pascoe arrange this ambush in the off season when we had to rely on old wives gossip to keep the forum interesting - it is shocking to now interfere with our footie games concentration and enjoyment.

I know it's a joke but this is exactly when you do it, for that reason. Get a few games of footy under the belt and this story diminishes rapidly, even if they aren't winning games. Whoever is interim and whoever they appoint, the pressure is off the coaching staff for at least part-way into next season.

This is massive news because the media love multi-angled stories, same as Tim Sim, Tigers have filled the newspaper pages nicely so far in 2017\. Compared to the Melbourne Storm this year, how boring, hardly anything to write, they win games and their players behave.

I don't get the outcry. People called for Taylor's head for pretty much his entire tenure and he finally gets punted and people still aten't satisfied

I've never said Taylor was the fault either. The onus is squarely on the players imo. At present we don't have the talent and won't until most probably 2018/2019\. This team that failed to make the 8 last year is essentially the same side as last year.

It hurts because there are so many passionate tigers fans out there and we all deserve a hell of a lot better than 3 finals appearances in 17 years which works out to be approx 17% which makes us the worst team in the past 17 years.

Some people are just never happy.

Maybe its the realisation that JT wasn't the only problem.

Taylor was half the problem - the inept board is the other half.
It's a good start anyway.

How can you like it?
The timing was terrible. Should have cut JT off at Christmas. That's the right time opposed to rd 3 of a new season.
Pascoe can defend it all he likes. Watch the season drift now.

Pascoe is not defending anything facts are facts cannot argue , the club has turned around and travelling well ATM ,most wanted Taylor gone DONE get over it, many live under a rock maybe look at the big picture ,open our eyes and maybe one could see the reality of what is happening .This is a turning point for the club rejoice ,it is astounding the negativity and the way the media has infiltrated the minds of many and whom have become the servants of the same!

What i like is that he's not willing to give up on this season in guise of "rebuilding" "blooding players" or using the coach axing as an excuse. I'm tired of "next season". I like that he's identified this season as salvageable (unlikely but positive). He's not reaching for GF (like GM) but aiming for regular finals playing.

Sure i could death ride his timing on firing JT but what will that get ya? ill leave that to you champ.

Yet the glaring omission from his statement is what are we doing in the players market? I see all sort of player movements but we make a play for none. We sit on our hands while we wait for Woods and gang to see who our coach is. Pathetic.

What was the point of moving Farah on if we aren't looking to sign people with his money freed up.
May look rosie to you but it's all just much of the same.
Time is ticking.

Next year won't be any different if we aren't buying new stock. We can keep sitting on hands and believe a new coach is the answer.

Big picture we all know the club has a war chest for next season ,maybe just maybe finally there might be some method in the madness!

Won't be any good players left by then. Now is the time.
Bird is ripe for the picking. Why don't we ever make plays for these calibre players?
It's so frustrating. I'm not excited at all by our halves.

Probably going to get a flogging but after posting in a thread to punt taylor last sunday the board in my opinion shoupd be commended for having the guts to sack taylor. He deserved to go and the board acted in the clubs, sponsors and above all the vast majority of supporters
In two weeks it will ^jason who"

At least the bar as been set..Won't allow the organisation to drift ..Alright Justin if the next Coach doesn't get results we'll punt him too…then next..

Oh and building that roster with only 8 contracted players beyond 2017 with no Coach might want to be looked at sooner rather than later..In no rush tho..

Pascoe, like Mayer, is just a smooth talking BS artist…he has a degree in smoke and mirrors.

Very Very True I have dealt with their BS in the past. They would make good politicians

What's wrong with that? Brooks is still here for you

Hence why they got rid off JT , what's the point having him linger on when they knew all along he wasn't going to be here from 2018 onwards regardless what he done this year . You don't Sack someone after 3 games in a Season if you have hopes of signing him for 2018 onwards….this has been on the pipeline for a while it was about the timing when to do it .
They will do the process now and have the new Coach organising his Roster for next year onwards .

Look at our Roster who is 1st Grade standard though ? We have to many making up the numbers that lack being genuine solid 1st Graders.
These are the only players worth keeping the rest get on the market and buy proven players

Teddy
Nofo
Suli
Chee Kam ( he'd be cheap )
Woods
Liddle
Sue
Ava
ET
Tim Grant
Aloiai
JJ Felise
Tatola
Heleta
Marsters

The rest of our Squad piss em all off!!!!

If only we could raise the bar in regards to paying players what they are actually worth. Raise the bar in regards to chasing top-notch talent instead of no hopers. Raise the bar in regards to playing consistent, committed footy every week.
Playing snakes and ladders with coaches every couple of years isn't raising the bar, pick one and stick with the bastards for a little while instead of going back to square 1.
Keep this crap up and the only bar we as supporters will be worrying about is the one we will be sitting at drowning our sorrows reminiscing about 2005 when we actually had a good club on and off field.

The last two times coaches have been signed there have been fairly slim pickings available. There are actually a number of decent options available this time around. We can potentially move up in the quality of the coaching rather than just sideways. It's not all bad…
