CEO

Not an excuse - it is a reason. Obviously there is a poster that does not know the difference.

Can someone name an NRL club that has higher revenue in 2020 and 2021 than in 2019?

Maybe Pascoe works for all NRL clubs then, if you can't.

Negative comments such as the dumb ass who stated above "He reports to the same board now that were responsible for the failure of the Wests magpies and their expulsion from the NRL." is pure fiction. None of the 1999 Board at Wests are still involved with the Club. Check out Wests financial performance and they are doing very well. So whoever 'Harvey' is, HOW ABOUT GETTING THE FACTS RIGHT BEFORE YOU START DRIBBLING HERE. By the way, im a Balmain person, not Wests.

Can you post or link the something to back up that statement? Not having a go but genuinely interested. I did a bit a look over the 2020 reports and it’s not great like everyone makes out. In fact some areas ( game day revenue , merch) has done down. From memory, there have only been two years in his tenure that the club was in (barely) the black.

I honestly think the guy is a myth but very happy to be proven wrong.

Less revenue over the last few years wouldn't be because of Covid - would it?

Let’s all keep making excuses then

So covid is an excuse? Not being able to have people attend games is making excuses.

There’s still 12 or 13 clubs managing better than us.

What do you mean "WE"?

Do not support your agenda in any shape or form.

We (except for Russ) as members and supporters deserve a CEO that will drive this club forward and instil a winning culture.

Just a question, should every club who isn’t in the top 4 or top 8 even sack their CEO?
Haven’t they failed too? It’s likely those clubs CEO had influence over the situation they find themselves in?

Have they failed for a decade? Have the got a shinning light for 2022? A big signing? A single home ground? An identity?

If not, yes the CEO should be punted.

I do not like Phil Gould as a commentator. I don’t like him as a person. I wish we had have signed him to come in and fix our club. Sheens is our only hope but he has been out of the game a while

Someone asked Gus on twitter where to for WT? His response

"I'm not that clever. It's hard being in a football club that's not functioning. I feel for them"

Now if the club isn't functioning properly then the question has to be asked why not? And for those that will bag out Gould because............well because it's Gould, remember this, there are no secrets in Rugby League. If Gus says we are not functioning, then everybody e.g players, player managers etc knows we aren't too. No chance of turning this club around without a complete reset.

And a complete reset is what they have been doing for the past 2 years. It doesnt happen in 3 games.

Mate, you claimed there were 12 or 13 clubs doing better than us financially, when told you were wrong you moved the argument that the finances don't matter if we aren't doing well on the field. Why raise it in the 1st place then?

You just wanted to have another swing at the club, there is no need to make rubbish up when there are plenty of things to bag the club over. When you just make rubbish up it makes your valid point less likely to be listened to.

Nope. I mean the club releases the numbers...well graphs with no numbers. You don’t have to guess and make things up.

2 years with a very small profit. The rest huge losses.

That in self is not super worrying but if you look at the metrics they used and remember they are a football club there are some worrying trends heading down.

Anyways, wasted too much time on Pascoe for a Sunday. Enjoy your day mate.

As a CEO the buck stops with him and he is responsible for everything that is happening at the club.

This year has been a total disaster for our NRL team. At present they are probably the worst team in the comp, although once again will escape the spoon.

It’s a no brainer he has to go

Reading some of the comments on here, it is obvious that there is a complete ignorance of the corporate structure of the Wests Tigers.

Not financially there isn't.

Couldn’t care less. The club is in existence to win NRL games and they can’t do it. End of story.

Then stop arguing finances.

Winning games will fix everything (including finances).

Thanks for that obvious observation, I agree with that. I responded to your post that was wrong about the finances of the club.

Can they start putting a finances ladder in the paper?

Mate, you claimed there were 12 or 13 clubs doing better than us financially, when told you were wrong you moved the argument that the finances don't matter if we aren't doing well on the field. Why raise it in the 1st place then?

You just wanted to have another swing at the club, there is no need to make rubbish up when there are plenty of things to bag the club over. When you just make rubbish up it makes your valid point less likely to be listened to.

Re-read my comment, it was in regards to managing the impacts of Covid, not finances.

As I have said, I couldn’t care less about finances or any other key indicator you want to judge the club on , we need to win.

I know you have mates at the club so we best just leave it there, as we aren’t going to arrive anywhere.

The whole discussion was about finances, I'm happy to let this go as I agree there is not a lot of point to being financially stable if we can't win games.

And I got involved when Covid was mentioned as an excuse for declining revenue. I’m just sick of excuses and accepting less.
