I don’t see how it would be anything but. Traditionally, round 15 is the mark where the season is just warming up.

Ch 9 have absolutely hammered NRL for a decade of inept financial management. Although I am saddened that the game I live is struggling, I am relieved that the pretender who has caused a lot of this is being found out. I hope Greenberg is out the door before Easter. His desire to be seen with and curtail to the big names is sickening. His lack of consistency is abhorrent. His reactive style is incompetent. He is a fool who has no right to be in any leadership position anywhere. Hope you get what you deserve Greenberg you almighty flog!

Love your work Steve! You summed Greenberg up perfectly. Imagine being as incompetent as this stain of a bloke and being paid $1.5 million in reward for your utter uselessness. On your bike Greenberg, the game you have done your best to bring to its knees will finally be able to have a brighter future without you clouding it with blatant bias and astonishing decisions like giving that hag a diamond ring.

I would argue it would be the fairest comp we have had in a long long time with every team playing the other teams in the comp the same amount of times! In a 15 round comp every game is important so the season wouldn't need to warm up as every game would be crucial.

They also said (nine) previously that they didn't want the NRL going up against the T20 WC... Now they want 22 rounds which will go into November...

I was just thinking that after reading the article you posted in the other thread. 9 seem to be all over the place on this, maybe their sponsors have since comeback and requested the entire season be played and that is what led to their statement today. The only other possibility I could see is that fox is pushing for the full season but that doesn't make sense with the herald reporting the story.

At no point have the medical or health experts deemed it unsafe, and if at some point in the future they did then the competition would be suspended or cancelled again. The state and federal governments seem to be open to giving the NRL exemptions to help them restart!

So they should ..... it’s bad enough for the NRL to make plans without input of the key stakeholders and then asking for them to meet regular payments for a Mickey Mouse format being broadcasting out of an empty stadium.
It’s so NRL that it’s not funny and I can see very little change under chairman Darth Vader.

Completely understand and I should have clarified that if the covid gets worse,in future perspective,thats when we have to halt again,it would be better to write this season off than give us a so called glimmer of hope...just my opinion and definitely not trying to dampen everyones enthusiasm...trying not to get my hopes up,Ive had enough dissapointments this year.

Why would that make any difference?

How would it be fair to take any 2 rounds out of context of a whole season, and use the points to tack onto another different season? It would be like taking the first minute of the game (or the 23rd minute of a game) and using only the points scored in that minute.

The teams whingeing about it not being fair to exclude it, I think have a valid point, but it's just ridiculous to include it in another season, so sorry but too bad.

I would prefer the hope of something coming good, at this point in time with the restrictions we have in place as a society our numbers seem to be stabilising. Hopefully by keeping the social distancing practices in place we can get to point where things are improving instead of getting worse!
