EDIT Vossy was over in NZ calling that game, that answered that question.

Yes you do need to like Beau and Benji, they are Tigers and are playing for your team, spilling blood to make you proud. Last time i checked 'Wests' were apart of Wests Tigers name so i don't realy understand the point you are making. Calling them Wests is no different to calling them the Tigers. I'm sure you would agree theres been enough of this Balmain vs Wests crap

What about all the other players who cop it on here delux? Fifita for example? To answer your question, I don't think they would care, they are grown men and they are professional footballers, it comes with the territory. Given the amount Benji cops from the DT, Shanes comments would mean nothing. And as far as people 'needing' to like players just because they are tigers players? No sorry, being a tigers player doesn't make you immuned. Maybe it does for you and thats great, but it doesn't have to be that way for everyone. Don't be one of those supporters who tells others what they 'need' to do just because its what you do

Vautin knows nothing about the show / its offerings and appears as though he just flies in reads the auto cue and goes home.

My mate used to work on the footy show a few years ago and this is exactly how he tells it. Doesn't want to have anything to do with the production, meetings, planning… but wants the limelight and doesn't want anything to change.

I always give it a chance at the start of every season and did think they had improved for a while (when they actually started discussing Rugby League on the show)... but after 1 show this year, I won't be watching many more. Although NRL on Fox which was my favourite... now with M. Johns I didn't enjoy last weeks either.

Phil Gould tweeted yesterday that there is no Sunday Roast this year, instead it's a 2 hour Sunday Footy Show.

For some reason they don't have the panel in the studio on a Saturday and have a shorter post-game show on Monday nights where they don't even show the entire press conferences. And that bit where they did the 'whose going to have a better week' thing where Johns claimed that one of the cameraman came up with it, they realy just knicked that from one of the AFL shows

Yeh I'm not liking Fox's coverage either. The change in format and panel has come from the fact that Gary Burns who used to be in charge of sports at ch 9 has now taken over at Fox Sports, I think that's how Johns and Geyer jumped across.
I didn't watch much of the NRL on Saturday so I could be wrong but I got one question, where has the Wiz been???

Without Geyer it's probably a good decision. If they kept it going it would just be Gus and Voss talking, TK chiming in with rubbish and Freddy in Freddy mode. Better off doing a 2 hour footy show with Vossy, Sterlo and others.

I think that i might have come across wrong, I don't think that just because you support WestsTigers that you have to shout out from the roof top that all their players are the best ever but i don't think that you should go out of your way to bag them out either. Benji and Beau most probably don't read this forum (i'd be very surprised if they did) but is that really the point? It takes nothing to be nice.I just think Shane was being a bit harsh saying that Beau and Benji made him cringe when they appear on the footy show. Anyway i like the footy show, it makes me laugh, Beau makes me Laugh and even if Benji is hamming it up he is doing a fine job of promoting the Wests Tigers and that is always a bloody good thing to do.

The Game Plan will return at 8:30 tomorrow night on One. Guests are Matt King, Danny Buderus, Petero Civoniceva and Todd Greenberg.

As much as I hate the 2GB Continuous Call Team, when Andrew Moore and Blocker are on TV they're 100 times better. From they way they act on the radio you'd expect them to put together a tv program like The Footy Show but they actually manage a pretty cohesive discussion

Sorry Kaz, I say what I see. They make me cringe. Week in week out. Simple. Was this on my mind when Beau scored in the final minutes last weekend? No.. Do you understand now?
