There was one thing that **really** annoyed me and showed how little they actually care about being a proper show about footy rather than light-hearted entertainment.
When they were going through the games and team lists for this round, they showed probably the first 3-4 teams, and from then on they just went for laughs/banter between each game and showed no more lists. It sucks they can't even commit 5 minutes to the most basic news of the week. Poor form. That's why shows like The Game Plan have so much more credibility.

The show was, is, and always will be a joke as long as Fatty is there. The only reason he has a job is coz he is best mates with Gyngell. If something ever happens to Gyngell, Fatty won't last 5 mins

I have never seen him talk to a retard as you put it….anyway my point is watch something else as low ratings will get the show cancelled.why watch a show you don't like.
Yes monkey nrl on fox is a great show...maybe ryan phelan had personnel issues for leaving. i though he was very good

I always enjoy this thread. Many of the people who keep complaining about the show's quality are apparently its most loyal viewers!!! There are plenty of more serious NRL shows - if watching NRL players doing something a bit more fun gets a view more people interested in the game it's not such a bad thing…
Come on people, the shows not that bad. Have a bit of a laugh and then go to bed. If you want information on the teams and players tune into something else. It is light entertainment nothing else. I watch every week to see what Beau is up to, If it's a bit boring or unfunny then i switch it over or go to bed. I didn't mind 5 in the bin and man v fan also very happy to see Girds back with their house. Does "shane2801" realise he's in a Tigers forum? Beau and Benji makes him cringe, What planet does SHANE come from?
Girdler is very funny. Their House was one of my favourite segments so glad to see it back.
I dont understand the Ch 9 infatuation with Vautin, I am ashamed that this guy is associated with our great Game.

MY VERDICT:
I liked the controversy corner style bit > i enjoyed the serious and various opinions of hadley elliott benji
also i think having a personality such as michael slater who offers a greater intellectual approach with personality as a host is a great idea…im not sure he is the bloke for it though(i think possibly et would be great to replace vautin as he is a fantastic tv personality)
I also do enjoy beaus skit but i think that is where the ludicrousy should stop
Gus interviewing bennett was something i looked forward too also( i believe this was possibly a one off)
other than that the show was utter crap and to watch the total of those 3 x 5 minute segments is a waste of time
downfalls = brohman and fatty appear to be lost, mario offers nothing, Tallis was not overly exciting, fatty is continuously reading from his script, the female news reporter was terrible and was doing the job of and discussing what the panel should have been, our house is outdated, the competition for the footy kick was unorganised and boring, fan vs man was awkward to watch and slightly creepy, the majority of the show was unorganised and uninformative.
also it is very annoying watching a show where the panel are having little conversations between themselves and have no interest to the audience eg brohmans rant about not having a sign as vossy did last season for stuff you may have missed

Yeah I did like that 5 in the bin segment, didn't mind seeing Girds doing his bit again. I didn't like Michael Slater all that much though, he seemed really out of place.
Yeah I'm not sure about Slater either. It's like they wanted to bring someone new in but rather then bring someone from outside ch 9, they thought hey lets just bring in someone we already have on our books like Slater.
He'd go alright on a similarly styled cricket show. That's where I was disappointed about Shane Warne's show last year, it was too much of a talk show and not a cricket styled show.
