Chammas and Ayoub

I think it is probably very obvious at this point that the club is fairly divided and one side is feeding Chammas, who has really turned on us lately ( and with good reason).

I thought this comment from Chammas tonight was very telling:

**The only two players they’ve signed for next year, Super League duo Jackson Hastings and Oliver Gildart, are both managed by the same player agent who has become increasingly attached to Maguire, as some at the club have noticed.**

Who is their agent you might be asking? Well, it is none other than Sam Ayoub...

Now we have our increasingly unsuccessful coach aligned to him...and our only 2022 recruits coming from his stable.

There are obviously deep issues at the club, but Mcguire and Ayoub seems an unlikely combo to back if you are hoping we turn things around.

Two low cost signings, TWO players, is an alignment?

The same bloke who caused us a ton of problems not long ago...and who many people in the club vowed never to deal with again.

Wasn't Isaac Moses he trouble maker?

Ayoub family are tight with Farah.

Yes. Not Ayoub.

Also it's worth noting, Chammas is the unofficial Panthers promoter.

Chammas is a saints supporter

Seems a stretch like every other moronic journalist article these days.

Throw some mud, hope it sticks.
1 + 1 = 5.

Does anyone really read the sports articles and think... this guy has it all figured out.

So we’ve got our recruitment strategy all wrong then. We’ve just gotta figure out how to get Payne Haas, Cameron Munster, Tommy Turbo and a few others to change manager to Ayoub and bingo bango were playing semis!

Shame we couldn't get Paulo, Cotric and Sezar..

But yeah I'm seeing the link mate.

I think he backed Farah during the dramas and whatnot but Isaac Moses was the real trouble maker.

That is the issue I guess...the blokes who can't get deals elsewhere seem to be ending up with us / blokes on massive overs.

How many of these would get another club? AD definitely, the rest likely would not get an NRL gig.

Ayoub has got to be a hell of a great agent though...anyone who can get Mbye 850 and Nofa 5 years...Tamou two bonus years rather than retirement...he is doing his job.

Whether it helps us is the question I think Chammas is raising.

At least that relationship is landing players. Every other player manager uses the club as a bargaining chip.

I like Hastings and Gildart...but both would not have gotten another gig. I am not sure either is a coup etc.

The way we’re going we’ll re-sign Packer. I’m more confident about Hastings, but neither are big signings but better than hearing about players “about to sign” only to suddenly get offered more elsewhere.

TPJ is a carbon copy of what happened with JAC. I’m glad we didn’t get TPJ but I don’t like the trend. Finucane will be a similar story IMO

After today's effort we will need to add at least another $200'000 to our offer to get Finucane

Yes, Moses def the problem.

I am not knocking Ayoub, if I was a player I'd be keen to be in that stable also.

I think Chammas is getting at the fact we are being fed the 'lower tier' players in that stable though and Madge is finding no success elsewhere.

The Nofa Mbye Tamau deals are terrible.

Amone is fair enough and would be on little.

The Wigan players it remains to be seen...Lam, their coach, is another Ayoub client.

We all know we need cattle.
The cattle don't want to join us.

Madge is looking at the youth and developing and that's the slow game.

We have to use the long view approach and wait 5 years for results...

It's actually really depressing but it's clear this is the plan so don't expect any big name signings any time soon.

You do know there is a recruitment committee of Hartigan, Woodward, Pascoe and Madge.

This article is trash
