Chammas Article

One common thread over a decade of a few coaches and many players with a high turnover of both is the feeling that Wests Tigers and the so called Concord COE is the talk of factions and cliques .Always seems disharmony prevails
The entire club is based on a merger of two foundation clubs
That is 25% of the original 1908 competition and a total of 16 premierships However its always been an estranged marriage because certain elements won't let go of the past .I'd hope given the entire playing group were either not born when the merger took place or at most just little kids then the entire playing and coaching group feel no link to the past but if playing in lower grades the past is actually the present .

Last week it was Tom Turbo unhappy with Siebold and his job was on the line - they had a win and the next target is Benji.
The media feed off people who buy their BS that is what keeps them in jobs. It doesn't matter if it's got an ounce of truth to it or who is victim to it.
This club is not experiencing poor form on the back of an individual coach the rot is ingrained. If we don't back what we have been selling why would anyone else believe that this club knows what it is doing ?
Sadly it doesn’t look like a win for us this week so it will be 7 straight and more ammo for the scum bag media to fire at the club for another week.

What’s missing from the discussion is there is a strong likelihood Latu Fainu is a better long term 7 than Galvin. Haywood is a better prospect long term than TDS. Api is the better player for the next two seasons.

Sign Galvin Latu leaves his manager actually went on record stating this. The flip side is you can’t pay Api and TDS it’s mismanagement.

I actually agree with the decisions. Maybe I’m wrong but it makes complete sense. Releasing TDS early is the only question mark for mine but if it saves cap space our season is done for anyway.
Well said 👍

AD still avoiding defence. Is he?
Couldn't cop an old man Benji tackle?

Lolllll. AD surely gone at seasons end.
Do ya thing, Benji.

Luai & Api the captains.
Of course Benji is close with them.

West's Up!
Noticed you’ve turned on Adam lately.
Ironically during his best season in our colours for mine.
Why is he annoying you?

Most supporters want to tackle AD some days. But while I think he hasn’t really delivered as an attacking centre he has played some good defensive games and really lifted a rudderless team last week.

It’s normal for things to be edgy at the moment and I’m glad that they are showing some fire in the belly.

Also think it’s normal for the coach to be close with his team leaders as they run the show on the park.
Anyone who has lead a team would know that the boss doesn’t sit with every employee everyday he talks to his leaders, especially when it comes to performance, ability and tactics.

Only solid thing about the artical is the last line

I don't buy that view at all. What problems exist are not down to the joint venture.
It was a joint venture in 2000. It's not, in 2025, and hasn't been for years. Balmain is dead. No money, no leagues club, little say in the running of Wests Tigers. It's the Wests/HBG show. What disharmony exists is all on the HBG board.

What confidence can we have, given the club’s retention failures, that they will stay long term?
