As a club they run their own race same as norths or Newtown do. They just are a feeder club to weststigers.My guess is it comes down to $.

There’s a general distrust of the law and police here in Western Sydney, but a broad acceptance that if you approach a Police Officer carrying on waving a machete, a line has been crossed, and the officer has a God given right to self defence.

And it’s well known that once Police draw their guns and advise you cease and desist, and you don’t, they have a shoot to kill policy.

Fittler’s debut was a day game.
He came off the bench late in the game with Penrith well ahead.
First touch was one pass off a scrum win on about the halfway. He unleashed that giant left foot step and left our five eighth doing the splits and clutching at dust.
Freddy duly shot off toward Minto before drawing the fullback for a Panthers try.
So young and with all that talent, it all seemed most unfair at the time 🤣

I 💯 agree that if you wave a machete in cops face, you're in big trouble.
But do they have to shoot someone causing death.
Surely there would have been more than 1 cop near him.
Couldn't they have just tasered him.
A person's life is valuable...there's a reason this guy was on drugs, if that's the case.
And yes, he probably had a shitty upbringing and wasn't strong enough to break free, so resorted to drugs.
This bloke 'could have' gone on to lead a worthwhile life if given the right guidance.
And this is nearly as disgraceful as the loony cop that tasered the 90yo lady recently, resulting in her death.
