That's the big one for me. Why are we bothering with the whole Campbelltown idea anymore when the factions who ought to be barracking for it the hardest aren't even interested and have moved back to the inner west? (I grew up as a Campbelltown Magpie but I only care about and love the Wests Tigers).
How can we ask the government to invest 100m dollars into an idea WE can barely show any devotion or consistency to in the first place? If there was a legit, abundant footy community in the area it would happen, but there just isn't.

Cochise, you say it's not about Magpies V Balmain, yet the structure on here...WTF continues to favour one side over the other...and that's not the Magpies.
Wests Magpies hold 90% ownership but don't have the ability to shift board decisions, don't have any more influence over board decisions than Balmain does. That's not rivalry...Imo it's imbalance.
And if you claim to not care about funding, that's a luxury few clubs can afford.
Performance comes from resources, and right now HBG are carrying the load while being hammered for how they source it.
Yes, poker machines are a societal concern...but let's be real...you run events at venues with pokies and alcohol, then publicly decry their existence.
If you're that opposed, hold your gatherings somewhere dry and pokie-free.
Until then...spare us the moral outrage.
Want to end reliance on pokies? Great.
Start with a roadmap, strategic sponsors, and board reform...not guilt tripping the only stable funding stream keeping development pathways alive.

See that is what we did mate, we instigated board reform and all you have done is attack people since that point. The stable stream coming into the Wests Tigers comes from the Wests Tigers and not from the HBG.
The Ownership groups are dysfunctional and we needed some form of independence from the ownership groups.
The Ownership groups were given their change to run the club and proved they couldn't do it so handed control over to people who can.

Not sure how many white blokes aged 20-35 you know but gambling is so incredibly ingrained. Can't spend money on Pokies if you are pissing it all away on sport betting.
Sadly gambling is the biggest problem in Australian society and is not confined to any race or sex.

I addressed all the important parts, the HBG, is not carrying the load. The largest form of funding for the Wests Tigers come from the Wests Tigers and not the HBG, we got board reform and the club is trying to become self sufficient.
Ok I'll play since you are acting du**...I was asking about the movement you headed being Wests Tigers Unite on here, where you asked the Liquor and Gaming to get involved in the debenture system for our club.
You produced the document? from L and G saying everything was ok, but I would like you to produce the document? asking L & G to get involved, as I don't think I have seen it.

Yes and this is not helped by the glorification of it in all sports arenas and in the media. The betting agencies are as bad as the pharmaceutical companies. Let’s create addictions then pretend to cry foul about them. Clown planet!
cochise, you've sidestepped a pretty central point I raised.
You [and others] speak out strongly against Wests Ashfield for making $9 million profit from alcohol and pokies as societal harms, which many of us agree can have real consequences...but you continue to perform at venues such as Wests Ashfield that obviously profit from both.
That contradiction doesn't just dilute the message, it actively undermines it.
If you're genuine about wanting to sever our alliance on these things, shouldn't your own actions reflect that?
It's not about 'attacking people', it's about ensuring the message we carry isn't hypocritical or convenient depending on the setting.
Reform starts with consistency.
Are you prepared to hold your gatherings in venues that don't rely on pokies and alcohol?
Or is your opposition conditional?

I don't care about you opinion of my actions, you are in no position to be be critical of my actions so I have no need to justify myself to you.
I can just as easily state that you argue that you get bullied on here but go around targeting and constantly attacking people, if you really wanted to stop bullying on here wouldn't you stop that behaviour or is your opposition conditional?
