Channel Ten

Some of the worst news programs ever compared to the other brainwashing rubbish we are fed from Nine & Seven.

Neighbours is still on TV?

I would say that channel 10 is not the only free to air TV station that is financially going down the drain. Other free to free stations are also losing viewers and are trying to make up the financial shortfall with deluges of advertisements thereby alienating current viewers and losing them in the process.

Christ there are a bucketload of ads on Foxtel these days as well. As many if not more than free-to-air I'd reckon. It's a disgrace that us suckers are paying to watch those bloodsuckers sponge more money out of companies for advertisements on top of our subscription fees.
On that Waleed Aly bloke, have never seen him on tv- the majority of people seem to dislike him- what is it about him that people can't stand? Curious to know what his go is.

Lefty Self Righteous Islamic Apologist, pretty much sums up why the dislike from most sane people.

Youtube Chrsitopher Hitchens on Q&A with this smug (automatically editored). The cringe is real.

I dont think he is a lefty at all. He used to be on the board for the Islamic council which is a political lobbyist group. He is a hardcore muslim defender which makes him conservative. He even used to describe himself this way. Now he has his television platform, he uses it as a pulpit to smugly deliver leftist values such as inclusiveness, tolerance and diversity to millenials in an attempt to appear both intelligent and inciteful even though he is regurgitating most of his views from the SJW playbook. I think he is a fake and is a dangerous victim blamer, declaring the west is at fault everytime there is an islamic terrorist attack. Pure wolf in sheeps clothing.

I agree with every word of that. Go figure!!

Many agree… The worrying thing is The Panel attracts many young impressionable viewers that get sucked in to this way of thinking.
While Steve Price can be a bit of a dick, he's there to be seen as a balance but is portrayed often by the others as the silly old fart who's views are just laughed off.

Price is the token right winger they can shout down. I can't stand the show, I say that as someone who is generally socially progressive.

Channel Ten is the home of reality TV. Having never liked reality TV myself I can only gauge by the chatter of those around me who do watch it that it is starting to trend away. I'd say Netflix, Stan and Amazon have a great deal to do with that as low subscription fees (I think I pay $11 a month for two devices on Netflix,) and plenty of good quality original content that are producing that is on demand is overtaking the need to watch six thousand different types of cooking or house renovation shows.

I don't know anyone who watches network tv anymore. All the streaming services and the ability to binge watch movies and tv shows at the click of a button have made television obsolete. All free to air has to offer are reality tv show trash and game shows. That's it. Foxtel is a bit more progressive as you can record shows. And sport is covered on pay tv too. Even the news is obsolete thanks to the internet. By the time its reported at 6pm, its old news. The same way print media is becoming less and less relevant.

Those on the project are despicable but they have nothing on Andrew Okeefe from Sunrise.
He is a bold faced liar and fact manipulator who pretends to champion free speach and social values but spews hatred at guests he invites on air to ridicule for providing alternate arguments to his. If anyone has been following the story of the Red Pill documentary last week you will know what i mean, if not check it out on youtube. The bloke is a mental midget who uses trigger words and phrases such as misogynist, xenophobe and transphobia and backs antifa/blacklivesmatter activists even though they are essentially domestic terrorists in America. He does this to try and sound hip and cultured to a young audience but really he is a closed minded, insular viewed bigot who is pushing a major agenda onto people looking for light entertainment and news whilst having their breakfast. I really dont know how he stays employed. Shows the mindset of mainstream media i suppose.

I have never seen Andrew O"Keefe but about black lives matter etc. and SJW. How modern minorities view their people's role in history and being victims of history is up to them especially if their people are still disadvantaged due to unfair historical incidents. It is only those victims' descendants who can really appreciate such - it is a situation of don't judge until you have walked in their shoes. And what can the victims' descendants see? the descendants of those whom perpetrated crimes/injustices ages ago still benefitting from those injustices. So where is the justice? Shut up is often the response. Well after you repair all those historical wrongs we may shut up!

Aren't the loyal Tiger fans here who complain about Rorters etc. also SJW?

The Nrl should buy the station and have a full time rugby league channel and get rid of Hadley , gus and rabbits ..all the dinosaurs

Or the NRL could finally provide a decent subscription service that lets you stream all games rather than the stupid device limitation they have now. Having said that, being able to watch all games on a mobile device for a few bucks a week is a step in the right direction.

Finding the comments really interesting. I haven't yet got into Stan or the like but am hearing here that this is the trend. I think there's something sad about everyone glued to their own device- everyone in the lounge room watching the tv was somehow more social. But my home is the same . I watch Fox sports, kids are in their rooms, online with their friends and my wife downloads movies etc. again, bit sad we socialise face to face less. Thought?

I have been to parties where everybody (usually the youngsters) are chatting to everyone not at the party, there is zero communication for long periods. I have been to church weddings overseas where everybody is on their phones not taking any notice of proceedings, again youngsters.

At mine the wife and I are actually more likely to watch things together and share shows because we can watch them anytime and our tv viewing can work around our lives. Previously we'd be less engaged with what each other were watching because you had to be ready at a set time.

Our almost two year watches ABC kids which is about the only time network tv is on

From what I have seen of Waleed has only been on ABC or SBS. The first step to understanding each other is hearing their point of view - I believe that he states that in an intelligent manner. I remember he wrote an excellent article in the SMH on the topic.

If DT readers hate him that is a pretty good reference that he may be a decent guy. The DT only provides simplistic opinions whereas human life, values etc. are a very complicated affair.

Lucky that you live in Byron Bay, if you were living in Perth you are so far left you would fall in ocean.
