500k to me is real good dollars for him and I think good business for us to extend him as well. I really hope they get this done. It isn't a sure bet but he is a developing player which is something the club is meant to be focused on.

when we offered him that wasnt he unstopable ?
i remember he had that year he led in tacklebreaks but like the first 8 rounds or so no one could stop him

My recollection was that it was still overs especially when you consider the length of the contract.

He was building into a quality player and I expect is one that would have his contract upgraded for 24. I wish him a speedy recovery and an opportunity to get back on the park and win himself a 24 contract for us.

Hope Staines recovers well. Has given his all for us since being here and one of our most consistent players in my opinion. Really hope we give him a new contract and he can lock down a wing spot for us long term!

Well said Softlaw. I think he was really starting to look the part. Gutsy player and I still don't think we've seen his ceiling. Such a pity he's been cut down and I wish him the best in his recovery.

I like him, he’s a go’er. But let’s not go crazy, we need to find out about the possibility of full recovery, and although I wanna look after him a bit like we’re not a charity. So if he can make a full 100% recovery then I wanna know what he on $. He was getting 500 at Penrith, and if we’re paying that we only got 8 games for our money so far. We have just confirmed that he is probably gunna be a winger with FB cover ability for us, so he’s worth a bit more the ya standard winger but NOT FB $, and Nofa is on 475-525 (coz Lee stepped in), as a comparison. I am thinking if he gets back and cements his spot again before the end of the year then 300ish first year back from injury and 350ish the second, reminding him of how much we got from our money so far.
But yeah that would be nice if we could resign him as a pick me up during his recovery process.
