At 22 he’s had 40 odd games and only a few in his preferred FB position.
He has an ability which has made some players reach greatness..speed off the mark.

Staines is supposedly on 500k that's why Penrith took the opportunity to offload him, as I think peachy was on around 350, freed up some cap for this year.
 
Don't profess to know what Charley is on but I would have thought that 500k was more likely what he would like to be on at this very moment.

Good luck to him, he chose to back himself and only sign on for a year at whatever he is on at the moment in the hope that he has a successful run in the fullback position and can then command the big bucks.

Personally, I think he is our best option at the back at the moment but has a long way to go yet before he can command a high paying contract.
 
500k to me is real good dollars for him and I think good business for us to extend him as well. I really hope they get this done. It isn't a sure bet but he is a developing player which is something the club is meant to be focused on.

I would go further to say he he’s probably ranked just behind Tedesco, Hodgson and Seers as far as WT fullbacks.
 
Shame Stainsey is unavailable. I've liked what he's been bringing to the team. Here's hoping the reserve grade stint and injury recovery has given Nofo a bit of a boost, but I'm not too hopeful. Am expecting some tries conceded down his side. Again not too sure why we are still carrying Talau, when there's Reggies, Blore and Matamua have a future at the club and can cover the back row spot.

Yeah I like him, he has go and is good cover for fullback. I would look to resign him on cheap for another year unless we can upgrade to a better winger on similar.
But I reckon if he was playing nrl for the next 3 months he’d cement one wing.
 
Staines out 12 weeks is tragic...not only was he going great, it now means 12 weeks of Nofaluma again.

When people were posting everywhere "no path back for Nofaluma now"...I just 'knew' one of our wingers would get hurt.

I am starting to believe we are cursed.

Brooks 'and' Nofaluma yet again for months.

I have not missed a tiger's game in decades...but those two may be enough to skip one. I will see.

I honestly can't stand the thought of seeing either in the jersey and their repeated / SAME errors for years and years...again. Three more months of a winger running crab like and a half with no idea.
 
Wonder when he did it? Possibly scoring the try? Unless he copped a knee or elbow to the guts in a tackle. I would think it's an injury that requires a reasonable amount of force.
