If you cant cop abuse from strangers, why set up a website that allows that very thing to occur? Then go on record with views of a "strong-willed and opinionated woman."
Set one up that deals with personal friends you only know.

Im not condoning what has happened to her, but she has in a way encouraged it.

I don't condone bullying of any kind, but if you're on the receiving end it probably isn't wise to stay up into the wee hours of the morning arguing with them. Block functions exist for a reason.
Im a bit of a hypocrite for saying this whilst using an internet forum as i write but fair dinkum, get a life. Cant handle some keyboard warrior then turn of the freakin computer! Its not like 'Death Wish' where some hoodlums are knocking in your front door. Reach over and press the power button or better yet, just click the little 'x' in the corner and surf something else…talk about 1st world problems! I tend to worry and think a bit more about the AIDs epidemic in Africa, The Middle East Canundrum, Repression in West China and North Korea not some twat using twit or whatever its called!
and another thing whilst on this small rant...shes 42 years old! shes not a 13 year old girl being bullied and being called fat or something like that from some other little school kids where she hasnt had the chance to of mentally grown and know how to handle situations, weve all been through school and the b.s. bullying that goes with it, i mean please...wake up TWIT. So let me get this straight. She's in hospital for being attacked on twitter aka cyber bullying? there wasn't anything physical done to her? did i read that right? Its like in South Park Randy Marsh ending up in hospital after being served

To be honest Ive never heard of this Dawson character, maybe because im a 30 year old male and not in her demo or maybe because ive lived a fair chunk of the last 10 years out of Oz…...or maybe, just maybe shes really not a celeb and just a wanna be celeb and lets face it, a bit of attention in the papers never heard anyones celeb status right??...... i smell a bit of "any news is good news" here.
i dunno who she is or what she does but she will now forever be remembered in my mind as a bit of a simpleton who couldnt work out how to turn off a computer........oops, now im cyber bullying, hope you dont read this princess.

What I find truly bafling is that real cyber bullying and cyber stalking has been happening for years with real consequences for truly vulnerable people and nothing has been done.
The minut one of the big TV Execs drinking buddies cops a small sample of the real problem it is suddenly a national issue and the media is demanding action.

Being involved in modelling for a large part of her life, I'd have thought she'd been well equipped to deal with childish and vindictive behaviour that seems to be rife in that industry.
In all seriousness, if you're truly worried about people who tell you what they think of you then perhaps being a celebrity with social media accounts aren't really your go. Since she's a forty odd year old woman, I'd have thought that this would have come easily to her as commonsense.
My advice for Ms. Dawson would be to get off Twitter and forget about those nameless masses who clearly feel the need to bag you out to make up for their own inadequacies.

My favorite part was when they tells "shes sitting up in bed and doing fine" fair dinkum as if being "twitter attacked" leaves you incapable of sitting upright
The thing that really pisses me off about it all is the bed shes taking up, I understand she would have private health care yadda yadda but one of my brothers mates broke his leg and has been waiting 2 weeks at Vinnies for surgery, then you've got this bloody princess taking up the time of hospital staff with her sooking.

I seen this arvo some grub had a go at Robbie Farah and Dugan on Twitter. Pretty sick comments and very personal. Then they were so tough they disabled their account.
Barry O'Farrel seen the comments and mentioned he would talk to Fed Govt 2moro about laws regarding this Cyber crap.

When will people understand that there are idiots out there in the world and the more you put yourself out there and expose your personal side with opinions using social media sites such as twitter the more you put yourself into contact with such boofheads. I am not saying that people should not use such sites but they need to use them knowing that they are exposing themselves to thousands of people who might not necessarily think the same way they do thus attracting negative responses. If you want to let the cyber world know about your thoughts and opinions than you need to expect that not everyone in the world is not always going to click the "like" button.

Agreed Merlot, but what was said to Robbie and Dugan goes way past a couple of hecklers. Hopefully the Police can catch up to this bloke and that it sends out a warning to others out in the I.T world to think about what they say or do.

This "princess" went all diva where as Robbie manned up and said he'd rip the guys freakin face off and has left some pretty nicely worded statements in the press of late. Well done Robbie. Ms Dawson has just begun to sit up in bed!…..id expect no one on this forum to compare the two flipperdy. Very disappointing.
