Chemist Warehouse Injury Update: James Tedesco

Wests Tigers can provide the following Chemist Warehouse injury update on James Tedesco after tonight's game against the Gold Coast Titans.

Scans tonight have confirmed Tedesco's jaw is fractured, with the fullback leaving the field in the 59th minute of today's game.

Tedesco has now been discharged from hospital and will consult with a specialist on Monday.

A further update on the extent Tedesco's injury will be available following this appointment.

Unfortunately Teddy has been copping it like this in every game he's played. Now the injury that we all feared. I blame the refs for not being tougher on this sort of play. When a top player gets the ball and is bending over or not up straight, that is when the hits happen and they are all too often claimed as accidental. Rubbish, they know that is exacting when to get them up high. And they do.

Unfortunately he's been copping if for ages and will so throughout his career. Given his star status they will target him more.

Ryan James will probably get slap on wrist too espcially with the Hayne hype surrounding titans. If the NRL are really woried about player welfare and protecting players heads etc then they need to give a healthy suspension. Knowing our luck he will get a week tops bit like Taupau when he knocked Bird's head off. The judiciary is a lottery anyway.
