Chess Players are welcome

If any one here enjoys a game of chess we can play online, maybe a minimum of one move a day.

Presumably you can follow chess notation. The board is squares A-H going across, and 1-8 going up the board. White pieces are on ranks 1 & 2, Black pieces on ranks or lines 7 & 8\. No computers etc allowed.

Can we do checkers or noughts n crosses so Happy can play..

P.S. No Underdog allowed…

I keen, Perhaps we find a online service that we can use.???

There are many but I like just simplicity of thread like this without having to register etc.

The latest notation (20 years ago) the P for pawn is not used but I prefer to use where possible.

so our manual system would be P-d4 (instead of .d4) - if okay to keep clear.
1\. P-d4 P-d5
2\. P-c4 N-f6
as an example
P = pawn
N = knight
B = bishop
Q = queen
K = King
R = Rook
castling 0-0 kingside, 0-0-0 queenside

You are welcome to be white

when seen one of those better tries of Cowboys in GF I thought - that coach is a chess player
