Chris McQueen signs - Official

I don't mind the signing of McQueen if it come to fruition. We would probably be paying overs but I guess that's counteracted too some degree by the number of rookies on our current roster Felise, Tatola, Marsters, Sironen and even Aloiai and Chee Kam. An experienced forward whose played at the highest levels in the game is the best education for our rookies and raises the standards. To put it into perspective our most experienced edge forward in the club at the moment is Lawrence, whose played most of career in the centres and is still learning trade himself.

What has happened ?.

I would imagine the 10 day cool has expired by now, no announcement ?.

Has Cleary cancelled the signing ?.

Titans counter offer perhaps..it was only media reports that he supposedly signed with Wests Tigers..

Courier Mail reported that he told the Titans he was off on March 27 - http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/nrl/titans-star-chris-mcqueen-set-to-join-wests-tigers/news-story/f79063bccccaa2dbb4c89228effc0064

Thus, we're still within the cooling off period. Probably announced next week?

THE Titans have been rocked by another player departure with key back-rower Chris McQueen inking a $1.2 million deal with the Wests Tigers.

The Courier-Mail can reveal McQueen will quit the Titans at season’s end after agreeing to terms on a three-year contract with the Tigers worth $400,000-a-season.

Tigers sources confirmed they have secured the former Queensland Origin forward, whose signing will be announced following the expiry of the NRL’s 10-day cooling-off period.

Looks like a done deal and a good pick up for us.

In light of this, its going to be interesting to see if Lawrence has a future with us, wouldn't be surprised if he isn't part of Cleary's plans.

**When Cleary gets the job, he will have a big say on recruitment and retention. The Tigers have snared Gold Coast forward Chris McQueen on a three-year deal but a number of other spots on their roster remain open from 2018.**

At least some people seem to think it's already done. from the SMH.

If Cleary wasn't in the loop when he was signed, he mightn't want him. Could be another Takirangi not a big loss if he doesn't come

Hmm I'm not sure as he really is only limited to back row today, so no real utility or impact value.

I don't understand the negativity reguarding this bloke? It reminds me of comments pertaining to Beau Scott. This guy is big, can run, tackle, has a good football brain and when switched on, like most blokes is a quality footballer. Take a look at him, when I look at Chris, I see a footballer. Go Weststigers!
