Or it's just in the cooling off period?

Might be checking with Matt Parish to see if he is happy with his new signings for the next 5 seasons

Yay our first Queenslander! We're finally moving in the right direction.

I'm not sure Ballin or the Ipswich boys worked out well for us.

2nd rate Queenslanders, not real ones

What are the real Queenslanders? The ones that come from Bowraville? or even more South!!! :roll

Lol yeah probably  I was thinking along the lines of the more established NRL players and ones that have actually played more than 10 minutes of footy in two years!

Don't even joke about that, our management might just think it is a good idea.

Love your attitude in this area. More QLD'ers equals more success

Good signing. Chris will go well here.

Make him captain

Last Qlder we had as captain = premiership
More simple math

Simple math for Queenslanders - is about right!

Should be simple for all , but we Qlders love you all still the same

Despite the obviously large IQ difference

There's this weird thing happening at the tigers lately where it seems people are already on board but not announced?!
I hope he is coming to the tigers next year.

**Gold Coast Titans to offer Chris McQueen multi-year deal in hope of staving off Wests Tigers interest**

THE Titans are set to make one last sales pitch to keep Chris McQueen on the Gold Coast despite their offer being blown out of the water by the Wests Tigers.

It has been reported that McQueen’s move to the Tigers is a done deal but the Titans insist that is not the case and have made it clear they will offer him a contract before the week’s end.

For the six-time Origin forward, the choice is: Stay on the Gold Coast where he is happy and has revived his career, or accept a lucrative deal to join a basketcase club who remain without a coach.

The Tigers have a three-year, seven-figure sum on the table – one which the Titans openly admit they cannot match dollar for dollar.

Gold Coast however are also prepared to hand the 29-year-old a multi-year deal, though whether that will be for two or three seasons is unclear.

Titans chief operating officer Tony Mestrov told the Bulletin the ball is in McQueen’s court.

“It will come down to a decision whether he wants to stay here long-term and live in Queensland, probably for less,” he said.

“We said we would get an offer together and send that through and we’ll do that this week … then it’s up to him, he has got to then make a decision and I know he wants to stay at the club and he wants to stay here long-term.”

While the club can ill-afford to lose yet another experienced head, Mestrov conceded they are limited in what they can offer.

“We have got to be sensible, there are salary cap implications and so on so we can’t go over the top,” he said.

Chief executive officer Graham Annesley declared the Titans’ hand will not be forced by pressure from rivals.

“We don’t react to offers made by other clubs, we go through a process with each of our players and we’ve got an internal process,” Annesley said.

“He is an important member of our team.

“You can’t forecast what might happen in these situations but we will do everything we can to put a good offer on the table and hopefully he will find that acceptable.

“I mean Chris is a Queenslander, we’re a Queensland-based club, he loves this part of the world so all of those factors come into it, life after football. There are many, many factors that play into a player’s decision but ultimately it is the player’s decision.”

Titans teammate Joe Greenwood – who has been taken under McQueen’s wing as a fellow left-edge back-rower – said he will do his level best to convince the veteran to stay at the club.

In recent years we have been guilty of signing good players and making them SOFT at our club

Cant go past Adam Blair

The same players excel once leaving us, Blair again and now Sirro as an example

Under Ivan Cleary i think DragQueen might be an improved player if he does come

But then again i think there will be a few others who will lift their game too..

Since old Mate Sheens we really havent had smart coach
His issue was he had coached us for too long and it got a little stale at the end

Haha good one Titans.
"They are a basketcase!"
"You are a QLDer, we are a QLD team!"
"You love it here, pubs and strip clubs galore!"
"Revived your career!"

Tigers:
"$$$$$"

**When Cleary gets the job, he will have a big say on recruitment and retention. The Tigers have snared Gold Coast forward Chris McQueen on a three-year deal but a number of other spots on their roster remain open from 2018.**

At least some people seem to think it's already done. from the SMH.
