I think they were in a tough position here. We can't develop a succession plan behind Madge's back. It's impossible to hold closed doors/secret meeting with Ciraldo or other potential coaches. In order to speak to other candidates, we had to sack Madge.

Also, there is a possibility that Shifty Sheens planned all this since October last year...
 
Gus played the tigers during their talks with ciraldo, telling everyone best for ciraldo to stay at Panthers, cariannis putting to gus last few months hes been chasing ciraldo, replaying everytime on the show gus denying anything to do with it, now sits there stone faced, probably is STONED

Gallen asked Gould about their junior's and Gould said the roosters don't have a strong junior's area so the last 25 years they sign the best 16/17 year olds from other clubs and Bulldogs will be trying it. Sounds like Panthers and tigers Mathews, sg ball and flegg players will be looked at

Gus was making the point that the Roosters sign the best young kids and then develop them into NRL players. I.e. what/how they teach their players is better than other clubs. Really helps when your first grade side is chock full of internationals (mentors). Anthony Minichiello was huge in attracting Teddy for example. A good development club needs a strong FG side and that remains our big challenge.

This is the biggest issue facing us.

We’ve just given Ciraldo the inside word on our best juniors, Ciraldo has just signed with a club with a billionaire major sponsor who is clearly tipping in money both legally and illegally, and now Gus is announcing exactly what the dogs will be doing going forward to cover for their lack of juniors. It’s so obvious how this will play out.

Imo, Laundy, Gus and Ciraldo will be much more persuasive to a young kid (any player?) than Lee, Sheens and Marshall. Head to head each of those three has our three covered. That’s before you factor in some brown paper bags.

Our youngsters won’t even need to move house when they sign with the Bulldogs. It will be so easy for them.

I’m not sure I can take the WT’s being out manoeuvred yet again.

I think most of our juniors are signed up field now

That's exactly what I was going to type, ciraldo going through the COE, checking our roster, our junior pathways then signs for the same contract dollars and years at Bulldogs

Ciraldo also probably knows how much we are paying them and their contract length.

Gus is ruthless. He will be all over this. He always says how much he loves the WTs when he commentates our games on a Sunday arvo. But he just sees us as loveable losers to exploit and he knows there is nothing anybody can do about it.

his job is now untenable,
he will poach Penrith players,
the club are fools if they don’t act,
they are leaders supposedly
well if you fail to act and lose the comp,

I think all clubs reps in Sydney know where the quality juniors are - you can't hide them. And you can guarantee they will have a crack at getting them - much like Roosters did to South's with Suaali.
The thing that is most concerning is that clubs like the Roosters Sourths can demonstrate a clear pathway to success while we are still back in 2011. Gus has fast tracked the Dogs somewhat by raiding the Penrith assets. I just hope Sheens and Marshall know what they are doing or we will remain the spare parts club of the competition.

thats the good thing about Sheens Marshall Farah they can sell the kids a story-proof it happens here if they want it bad enough
