Cleary - One Home Ground..

If we are considering one home ground the first thing to establish is where our supporter base is located and base decisions around that. History is a wonderful thing but thats what is and we should be looking to the future. If it turns out to be Parramatta so be it free shuttle buses to & from Leichhardt an Leumeah.

Campbelltown seems to be a good enough stadium for rugby league to showcase pacific islands tests….

I’ve said it before, I came from the Balmain side but believe Campbelltown Stadium is where our home should be.

Campbelltown is where NRL clubs go to become extinct …Western Suburbs was the first the WestsTigers would be the next ...isn’t a 30yr trial period enough for the population of the area to come to the footy!

Wests were mostly a basket case though and didn’t have sustained on field success through the 90s.

When WTs have been traveling well we’ve got some good crowds there.

Snake you should change your name to EEL your love of Parra stadium know's no bounds.

Yes time to become one club… 20 years of joint venture has been for the most part unsuccessful.
One club one home ground... Like it or lump it

Wests Perth your solution?

Revamped ANZ stadium should be our 1 home ground. Apparently they are going to configure it so that they can close off the upper tiers and create a good atmosphere for games with lower crowds.

Unfortunately we travel well 3 times every 19 seasons. The other 16 years we lose money.

Western Sydney Stadium would be perfect if it weren’t in the middle of Parramatta with the leagues club right next door. If we made WSS our home ground, we’d inadvertently be propping up the Parra leagues club.

My problem with ANZ is that the lower tier will still hold 40k. It's too big for club games.

Only if we frequented the joint.
Would you?
Most WTs fans may think like you… The transport links will be in the opposite direction and everything the club offers will be available between the stadium and station

It would be natural for people to go there… a few ardent supporters might boycott the place, but most casual fans won’t care. It’s in a very convenient location to have a few drinks before or after the game.

Are we really worried about Parra getting richer? They've already got enough money to cover the salary cap and the operations cap and havnt won a comp for three decades.. They'll only sign more players like Moses and Hayne!! And we're worried about those nuff nuffs?
Have a look at the positives it will bring us and forget the other crap.

I guess my argument is we can get the same benefits from playing at a revamped ANZ stadium, without playing our “home” games in the middle of enemy territory
