Cleary u got what u deserved.

His biggest mistake was flicking Moses. Anyone without ridiculous hatred of him can see he is a class player …and better than anything we have at the moment.

This may be so, but there was no point trying to keep him because he couldn't wait to leave!

Startting to become evident that JT wasn't the problem.

You were always a JT fan club member.

Well he did get the same squad to within a point of the 8.

And couldn't even squeeze into the Eight when only needed one win to get there.
We had as many shockers as good games last year, and left the worst to last
There was even clubs seemingly doing their best to assisr us, Parra, Roosters Eagles( to name a few.
If ever there was a time for the alsorans of the Competition to jag a spot in the Semis, it was 2016.

How did Brooks miss that final field game attempt so badly, I doubt he even look where the posts were. Virtually throwing 80 mins of effort away along with that last goal attempt after the try. But at least their incompetency was matched by the Eels to make an interesting if low class game. Brooks high shoulder charge on Moses was shocking. Do they share a flat along with Teddy? Then Brooks final trip was also shocking - hope he loses a week.

You'd better get used to tripping being a tactic for us. Brooksie was just showing Reynolds that he will feel,at home next year

Not to mention that you don't give another team one of your best players so he can play against you. Absolutely stupid stupid decision and makes me want to stop supporting this club.

I'm glad he's gone, he didn't do much today and long-term I reckon he's a disappointment unless his team is really strong and his errors and defence can be covered for.

Slimy

Yup. I'll only rue the decision to let old slimy fart leave when he carves up a quality team.

I'm starting to think you actually enjoy the team losing just so you can keep going on about JT. We lost by 1 point to a team firmly in the top 8\. We almost beat manly last week and they were coming 4th. We are blooding some great youngsters in marsters, twal and eisenhuth. Funny how you used to give it to the supporters because you thought they wanted a loss so they can get rid of JT. Your just as bad. Move on, JT is gone, was never a good coach and how about you get behind the team and move on from your JT obsession.

I have no issue with Cleary, actually I'm a big fan. But if Taylor was the problem, why have we only won 3 games since he was sacked?

I think Taylor was clearly part of the problem and in reality a significant part of the problem. It's more his fault we've only won 3 games since he was sacked than Cleary's. It's his team minus Moses that is currently playing out there. That is the team that he assembled. Give Cleary some time to develop a better squad and see how he goes.

I don't believe this at all. Did you watch the game today. Moses wasn't very good. To add to that he costs a lot of money.

I don't think he is better than Tui at the moment. He is probably a little better than Brooks. He is miles from being a quality NRL half at this point.

I'd add that Cleary didn't flick Moses either. Those guys were screwing us over for ages. Cleary coming in and bringing the whole thing to a head just put an end to it.

Just look past the fact that Moses was tanking games to get out of here. Even if we forced him to stay we wouldn't be in a better place than we are now.

The two halfbacks were close to horrible yesterday, but it went with the game. Parra probably played at about 50% potential and still managed 10 line breaks on us. The point being that a list of teams don't have to be at their top to beat us.

Sheesh its almost like we lost 52-22 yesterday against a team lower on the table than us.
They had 9 line breaks to our 2, we had 3 try saves to their 0…True there are many "fringe first graders" in our top 17 but this team has spirit & some fight. With a few experienced first graders joining us next year I'm hoping Cleary gets what he deserves, a winning footy team.

Fwiw I reckon Brooks & Tui's long kicking game kept us alive in the 2nd half as we were struggling to make any metres!

Even Bellamy couldn't turn this rabble around …with dud signings like a busted Mqueen and a headless chook in reynolds next season will be a rinse and repeat of this crap season ..

Good luck Cleary

And yet Taylor had them a point out of the 8.

That was when Woods, Teddy and the Slimy one were actually trying to help us to win. We haven't had 100% effort from even both Ted and Woods any one game this year.

I'm not blaming Ted/ Woods for our loss yesterday, I'm pointing out that is the difference from when we nearly made the 8 (before choking and losing by nearly 50 odd).

You are so clouded by your obsession with JT that there is no point in arguing with you. If you are a supporter of the tigers then you would be very happy with the direction the club is going and the improvements we have made, particularly in the last 3 weeks. JT is at the roosters , and I'm sure they would love supporters like you to go across there.

I reckon Cleary is doing a great job with a terrible team. The fact that he is getting big efforts out of Woods speaks volumes to me about his ability to motivate players. The decision not to strip Woods of the captaincy may have something to do with that.

I am sure if Cleary had better options than JLJ and Lovett than he would take them. Hopefully next year we can field a strong team each week that we can 100% get behind.

Let's look for the positives in our team and get behind them for the rest of the season.

Whilst we are not winning games I think we are improving. (Even with the team we have)-

Don't forget we were only beaten by 1 point by the Eels ( a top 8 team) so either we are not that bad or the said top 8 team isn't that good.. Keep the faith guys… :righton:

lol blaming last year's coach for the team only winning 3 games this season. Now I've heard everything.

It definitely comes down to our depth, unfortuantely with Rowdy and Edwards ruled out before the game, Cleary was forced to play his hand in putting JLJ on the bench. I don't even think that was the problem in our loss, we just relaxed for split second moments which allowed the Eels to attack.

I enjoyed the game yesterday and although we did get beaten by a single point, there was a marked improvement in player attitude… Most on here single out individuals to blame and shame,Ivan had very little to choose from to replace the injured, JLJ is the whipping boy everytime he plays, however he is all Ivan really had to use in replacing MM,he is a utility player of ISP quality, you can only use what you've got..
What beat our team yesterday was I'll discipline and immaturity...but that also comes from being a young team still learning the hard lessons of NRL..If most on here can't see that this team is slowly progressing in the right direction under Ivan's coaching, then they are very hard to please,I said in my opening that I enjoyed the game along with Gould and others who said it was an entertaining game...good to see 30,000 fans at the game as well..

Spot on, a good coach in todays game must be a good psychologist, making the players remove distractions and put in that extra 1 percent is the pay off..Woods and Teddy are playing great the team is having a go and we can thank Cleary for that!
