I don't know what the answer is and I know the players don't run the club but

Maybe the players need to be pulled aside

Asked what their problems are with the club etc to have such a poor attitude week after week

They need to come up with what they think is holding them back

What is holding the club itself back

They need to discuss it as a group with no club officials

Air their grievances

Have selected players air it with the CEO

Maybe even a secret survey for each player to fill out to air their problems

Questions on survey could be asking them about the coach such as

1 are you happy playing under Madge?

2 is his communication methods unacceptable ?

3 is his training too hard? / do you feel burnt out ?/ if this is the case have you spoken to Madge ?

4 would you sign another contract to play under Madge? / if no than would you consider staying under a different coach?

5 do you believe in the game plan? Or is the game plan just not up to standard and making it hard to compete?

Or

1 Do we have too many home grounds?

2 facilities not good enough so not happy at club?

Like I said I know they don't run the club and I don't want them to

But I just feel they need to have some input to the problems at the club so the club can try and sought out what's going on because this team with the right attitude can play much better than what they are

To me the attitude on the field is disgusting and communication/mediation between players/coach/ceo/club as a whole needs to be soughted ASAP

The players just need to put a list of grievances together

Sought it with the hierarchy and toughen up a bit and do what they are paid to do with the right attitude week after week and give the fans who pay their wages a footy team to be proud of

I go to work week after week year after year doing my job with a good attitude because I want to support my family and own a house and travel and have dreams

I don't mind my job but I'm not living the dream like these guys

I would love to be an NRL star

These guys are but still tank it and probably over the most petty little thing

So air your grievances boys

Let it all out

Than for God sake grow a set and start having a go you heartless sooks

This is the sort of survey you send out to justify a decision you have already made.

Phil Gould says our roster isn’t a top 8 roster.
Who can argue against that?

My take is that we have had far worse rosters in our history and have done much better.

Yet publicly it is mentioned that ‘the belief is at the club, that the roster has improved this season and the expectation is that the WT should be better than they are”.
Phil Gould can call a spade a spade, even us supporters can. Why does the club live in denial?

We have the worst Defence in the comp and the club backs the coach 😂

38 missed tackles by the coach ?
That's on the players

Tackled 43 times in the opposition 20 for one try from a deflected kick
That could be players and or coach
Execution?

Our attack needs re inventing
To often have we got to the try line with nothing to show for it

This is where I believe we should place our focus on
We need to convert our field position into points
We score and we get the ball back from a kick off and starve the opposition from possession for another set of six
This keeps the pressure on

As far as our defence goes, I would like to see more of a sliding defensive pattern like Brisbane were always good at , at their peak
Or the other option is
Each of our players should stand adjacent to their opposite number and mark up
Follow that player accross the field when they make a move
To often I have seen the opposition just run around us to create an overlap
Where the hell are our players
I am sure Madge doesn't tell them to just stand there

Madge trains the players
Are they tanking ?

If Madge selects Musgrove tomorrow you’ll need to ask why ?

Go to Campbelltown with Geo and throw pies ?

I

3. Have you considered retirement
4. Are you actually interested in having a go, or simply here to collect your contract money

That's not really how Boards typically work mike, you know that. They select the operating officers at the club to oversee the roster. Most board members are business types, legal eagles or ex-politicians / policy makers.

The old school boards of decades past, who were entirely football-heads, they were often incompetent to the point of fraudulent. Let us not wish upon ourselves governance styled upon the old NSWRL days, were key decisions would be made during a piss-up and your credentials were based on how many blokes you'd chopped during your career.

I was a Brooks supporter, but he lacks insperation and energy. Nouffa should never have been extended.TT is not a back. Douehie is the next Wighton-- give me a break ! a bench player at most. JL is best forgotton, Jtj no ball and min money ? Laurie , a big future but a long way to go as a FB. This is the reality. And combined with lousy attacking and defensive stratagies , it should not be a surprise where we are !

2. Are your performances worth what we are currently paying you
3. Have you considered retirement
4. Are you actually interested in having a go, or simply here to collect your contract money

Very well said Mr Harvey ?

Read a Tweet today from Gould who says our problem is not Madge but that we just do not have a top 8 roster and that this is the end result of years of roster mismanagement. Gould does seem to know a fair bit about club management and planning (look at Penrith now) and even Rothfield who never misses a chance to kick us, has written a long piece today more or less agreeing with Gould (who he dislikes) targeting our CEO rather than Madge as the main source of our troubles. As to management accountability generally, our board is not like a corporate board and our members are not shareholders. Shareholders own a piece of their companies and have a say in how they are run; our members really own nothing and have no effective say in the club's operations. The Board does of course appoint the CEO. Lots of finger pointing going on.

Too much sanity here.

I mean a lot of people were predicting us to suck. I think the flogging we put on Manly in the trial really shifted expectations dramatically in the wrong direction. The fact that we got beaten the week before by a Roosters side with zero first graders was probably more indicative of our level.
