In all fairness it was the Roosters prop that fell on the ball , shoulda been our penalty
 
A 7 point plan for Benji for 2027 ... I'm sure I'll come up with more.

Thanks to the lads at WT Faithful for reinforcing some of my thoughts on this week's podcast.

1 Only play Latu Fainu or Jock Madden as our 1st receiver half back.

2 Do not extend any off contract LOW IQ players - cough Skelton & Afoa.

3. Recruit 2 of the following as depth/bench players for their experience, effort, line speed, defensive capabilities - Shawn Blore, Ray Stone, Tyson Frizell or Sam McIntyre.

4. Develop a transition plan for Javon Andrews to take over from AD at 5/8 through next season.

5. Develop AD in the pre-season into our 'own style' running Lock (and 5/8 utility), ability to play up the middle, be a 2nd sweeping fullback and provide a link. Transition into this role through the season (see point above).

6. Drill into Bula to sniff behind the ruck for offloads & for set 'inside ball' plays off middles.

7. Develop Ethan Roberts (left) & Mitch Taotua (right) as our depth backrowers as they bring similar skill & athletic attributes to KPP & Samuela.

I like Johnny Morris, not sure how much output we're getting from him though.

Is Brad Arthur a chance?
Sammy Burgess?
I doubt these guys would take that job but everyone keeps saying Heino, Hodgo, Morris + Benji aren't doing the job. Who can?

It was a job no one wanted.
I just don't see who these coaches could be to upgrade on what we've got.

How realistic would it be to get Bennet on as an assistant when he finishes up at Souths?
Maybe he would like to be semi retired and just help out Benji?

I will give him the first 6-8 rounds of the 2027 season as a last chance & if there's no improvement by then he should voluntarily step down or get sacked but then half the team that signed for bunji is going to revolt & our 16th season like the past 15 is going to be cooked & we're going to finish down the bottom 4 plus a chance to get our fourth spoon

He wouldn’t come as an assistant. You don’t hire Bennett as an assistant to anyone. Let alone Benji. He’d be coaching director. Still won’t happen, but that’s what the hypothetical role would be.

You don’t think he would want to finish his hall of fame, seven time premiership winning coaching career to finish that as Benji’s assistant at the biggest struggling team he has likely seen in his long tenure in the game?

Reminds me of people suggesting Cronk will come here to coach up Latu and Javon a couple of nights a week

He’s on record saying to have to have a successful club, you need a stable board. That should end the discussion right there.

Just let me rearrange those highlighted words to convey what my thoughts and feelings have been in more recent times.

I've been mad most Mondays after their pathetic attempts to pass themselves off as first grade footballers over the preceding weekend's round, and you guessed it, I no longer have any belief in these pretenders or the ability of the coaching staff to have them execute some sort of a game plan and show the most basic of skills required to play the game. 😡

Did someone mention it's a simple game, well these guys strike me as being complete simpletons.

Following on with the cartoon theme, I can just imagine Toa getting up off the ground (eventually I might add) after being tackled with bandages and sticking plaster already applied.

9. Hire a defensive Coach
10. Hire a halfback Coach

My work College Son is in a Rooster development squad, last year and this year loved Cronk import great a breaking plays down looking at different options.
